👋 Hi, I’m Laura!
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me yet — especially parents who may be interested in youth fitness here in Dunfermline.
I’m 48, mum to a 13-year-old son, and fitness is a huge part of my life. Outside of work, most of my time is spent training and competing in CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting as a masters athlete. I’ve been coaching CrossFit for 5 years (Level 2 qualified) and have spent the last 2+ years coaching functional fitness and HYROX at Pilmuir Fitness 10, which felt like the natural home to base these new youth classes.
Last year I also qualified as a Personal Trainer, and I love working with clients on a 1:2:1 basis, helping them achieve their goals — whatever those may be.
HYROX has been a big part of my own journey. I’m proud to have a HYROX World Championship winning flag for my age group from the very first year of HYROX (when it went online due to Covid!). Since then, I’ve completed a HYROX relay with a team from Pilmuir… and who knows — maybe a solo one day, once my running improves! 😉
Having watched HYROX grow into a worldwide phenomenon, I’m passionate about helping the next generation build confidence, fitness, and a love of movement. That’s why I’m launching ✨ Hy School of ROX ✨ — youth fitness classes for 8–16 year olds, focused on fun, functional movement, teamwork, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
