Been a little MIA recently but super excited to finally have my mat pilates certification 🩷

I've been working away at this for a wee while now, so hopefully I'll be able to get some mini pop-up classes and an online option available soon!

With the darker nights, shorter days and cold weather, it can be hard to stay motivated to exercise during the winter ❄️🥶🤭

How can you make sure you still hit your fitness goals over the next few months?

🖤 Have a plan

• Lay out your workout clothes the night before 

• Have a route planned, a class booked or a workout set 

• Get your snacks ready to grab and go

🖤 Get organised

• Go to bed early and make sure you are well rested 

• Set your alarm and put it out of reach so you don't press snooze!

• Have a podcast or playlist downloaded 

🖤 Stay accountable

• Go with a friend, get a PT or join a group 

• Even if that means just a text to check-in and say yes, I did that today!

• Giving yourself accountability will help you stay motivated even on the days when it's a bit harder 

🖤 Don't give up

• If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up about it

• Listen to your body and take time to rest and recover if you need it

• Stick at it and stay consistent - you will feel so good for making the extra effort and your hard work will pay off

Some days it's just hectic and staying on track with your health and fitness goals feels impossible (especially if baby has kept you up all night!) 🫠

Don't expect 100% from yourself - you are more likely to give up when things don't go to plan.

Here's my 3 step hack to keep things simple so you can still make progress no matter what!

1. Go for a 20 minute walk - even a little movement is better than none. And I guarantee you will feel amazing afterwards and energy boosted 🙌🏻💫

2. Have lots of healthy snacks nearby 😋 try to make them nutrient dense if you can to keep energy up and cravings down. Especially when you've had a bad night's sleep and all you want is the whole bar of chocolate to get you through. Keeping little snacky bits handy is going to help you soo much, just chuck them in your bag before you run out the door and you will be less likely to grab a mcds on the way home 🤭

3. Stay hydrated! Sounds obvious but it will help stop stress eating especially later on in the day 💦

Nothing fancy, just stick to the basics, I promise they do work.

Remember you don't have to be perfect to make progress ❤️ a little bit every day adds up to a whole lot across the week x

I want to help you understand exactly what you need to do and why in order to reach your goals. I want to share what I have learned along my own journey and make sure your nutrition, daily movements and planned workouts match up with what you want to achieve. I have qualifications in personal training, pre and post natal coaching, podiatry and health studies with nursing.

I will be your biggest supporter along your health and fitness journey! Just think of me like a mini cheerleader in your pocket and know you can message me at any point to ask questions, let me know your achievements, get it all off your chest...literally anything I am here for it!

✅ Motivation
We all have days when we just are not feeling it. That's where I come in! Sometimes you will genuinely need to rest up and look after yourself, but when you need the extra push to keep on going and keep on achieving, you know I'm going to be the one to help :)

✅ Accountability
Check-ins, calorie counting, protein intake, daily steps, progressive overload - whatever you are aiming for you need to have accountability in order to achieve it. My app is perfect for checking off all your achievements of the week and I love nothing more than seeing those PBs come flying in!

✅ Results
The big one, the reason you are here. No matter your goals, whether it's weight loss, strength gain, building confidence, just getting back to feeling good in yourself again - we can achieve it together!

You want to feel more energised and less like you are just in survival mode every day

You want to get back into your old clothes and feeling like yourself again

But maybe you should wait until baby is sleeping better. Until they are on their solids. Until they are done teething. Until they start walking.

The list goes on

You keep putting it off

How to get the most out of your workouts:

🍁 Properly fuel yourself before and after each session

🍁 Bring plenty of water with you to stay hydrated

🍁 Make sure you warmup before starting so you don't pull a muscle

🍁 Try to practice your workout several times throughout the week to see the best results

🍁 Stick to your calorie and protein targets to build muscle and achieve your weight goals

🍁 Always cooldown afterwards so you aren't too sore the next day

🍁 Make sure you take time to rest and recover
