From Dunfermline rugby club minis, we want to wish all our U12โs the very best as they now move to youth rugby. For the last 4/5 years we have watched them grow to the young men they are becoming. We as a club couldnโt be prouder of them and look forward to watching them continue to grow.
Below is from their coaching team.
U12 Sign off in the sun
Fresh off their tour the Fife & Forfarshire cup @ Madras was their fond farewell to minis rugby for the U12s, always a highlight in the calendar.
Things started well, soundly avenging a silly loss to Glenrothes from the week before tour, before tough & close games against Madras, Howe, Carnoustie, Dundee & Strathmore, the hard pitches drained the reserves and we were down to the walking wounded southing aches & bumps with our dwindling supply of icepacks by the end.
Couple of quick presentations to the boss as we leave her stable, players presented Tammy with some flowers and one of those instant classic tour shirts to show their appreciation for her hard work & support. Coach Matt also handed over to her care their tour mascot Wee Malcy, who we very much looks forward to seeing have great new adventures with the U12s touring teams that follow on behind us each year.
From the coaches & myself, thankyou to our players, parents and assorted other hangers on for another season of hard work & support, as a brand new group just 12 months ago they have made great strides together and we had some great breakthroughs that we'll all remember for a while yet.
To those mentioned above, the other minis teams & coaches that have helped us keep and drive up the high standards of rugby that we start to expect from these young men(and ladies we've had in the past), folks from the big teams who came down and inspired the next generation of the club to reach where you are and everyone that attended games, bought cakes, cups of tea, bacon rolls, sponsored a horse or attended our Race Night, you've all contributed to a massive year for the team, helped them have a fantastic tour to cap off their time in the minis.
Onto ties, more bodies, 50:22s, pushing in scrums, bigger pitches and multi course banquets after the games!
