It might not have been a winning day for all Dunfermline clubs, but it was fantastic day for the Dunfermline Amateur Swimming Club and InCAS Swimming Club swimmers who had a wee road trip down to the Borders for the Duns Amateur Swimming Club "Duns 500" gala. Aside from the success in the pool, it was a great day full of fun and friendship, and it was wonderful for Dunfermline Head Coach to be able to take so many down to support his original swim club - even taking part in the multi-club relay at the end of the event. Thank you to the team at Duns for making us all so welcome and for allowing us to spend the day at your lovely pool!

Massive congratulations to the six DASC swimmers - Frew, Ruaridh, Eilidh, Innes, Olivia and Dylan - who have been invited to take part in the Scottish Summer Meet in Aberdeen! This a huge achievement, as only the top 32 swimmers in each age group in each event from across the whole of Scotland are invited to attend, so as a club we are immensely proud of you!

A great weekend of competition at the Carnegie Spring Meet, with 19 swimmers completing a combined total of 73 individual swims with 37 personal best times recorded, and a good haul of medals. All the swimmers pushed themselves, with many trying events for the first time and putting effort into improving aspects of their racing.

Special mentions go to Emma, Lexie, Molly and Skye for some fantastic personal bests, and to Isla for an impressive swim in the 400m freestyle. Great swims by Alex, Ruaridh, Innes, Frew and Flynn who were on fire today in the freestyle and breaststroke. Our youngest swimmers this weekend, Eva and Zara, had a super head-to-head in the 50 freestyle, and at only 8 years old Zara took on and completed the 200 breaststroke! And a final mention to Eilidh for entering - and surviving - her first competitive 200m butterfly, securing silver in the process.

The friendship and support amongst all of the swimmers made for a really fun weekend, which is what it is all about. Thank you to the coaches, team managers and technical officials for the support, and to Carnegie Swimming Club for hosting such a well-run event.

Ryan has been busy enjoying another sport in Dunfermline today with the Pars at East Park! ❀️

πŸ–€ 🀍 A proud day at East End Park for our Para Football Team! ⚽

At The Pars Foundation, we believe football should be for everyone and our partnership with Fairway Fife continues to create opportunities for adults with disabilities to enjoy the game in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Our players recently took part in a special signing photo session at East End Park, celebrating their involvement in the programme and the fantastic football community they continue to build together.

From developing confidence and friendships to staying active and enjoying the game, these sessions are about much more than football.

We’re proud to provide opportunities for players of all abilities to train, play, and be part of the Pars family. πŸ–€πŸ€
