Pass & Move ⚽️
This is a great drill for players to work on their passing range & movement off the ball.
A pretty simple setup means this drill can work for all levels of player from beginners to elite level.
The player in the middle drops short for the first pass to the front foot & then backs up to receive the second pass on the back foot.
This helps the player to develop their control, whether they are coming towards their teammates or moving away from them as they receive the pass.
Before receiving the pass the player also needs to scan their shoulder, getting them used to checking the space around them before receiving the ball. Seeing the bigger picture around the pitch is a crucial step players must take to become top-level ballers!
This drill also allows the players on the outside to work on their way of pass, depending on whether their teammates is looking short to feet or moving away to receive the pass on the half turn.
All of these skills tie directly into in-match scenarios, preparing the player to transition their skills to the pitch when under pressure from opponents.
