Always a great day, coupled with Michael Bastow cheering on Dunfermline from 3pm onwards 👀

The Arbroath Trophies Arbroath Open returns on 𝑆𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑑𝑎𝑦 23𝑟𝑑 𝑀𝑎𝑦 2026 and will be played at Shotz Pool and Snooker Arbroath.
This year we gladly announce our continued sponsorship from 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐬, our long term sponsor. Arbroath Trophies are an extremely close partner of the ADPL and we encourage all members to visit them for any trophy or awards needs you may have, where they offer an expert and excellent service from start to finish. Including engraving services for all trophy types. Sandy Beedie has very kindly continued his generous sponsorship of the event and we thank him for doing so.
Play is expected to commence at 11:00am but will be entry dependent. It could be 10:00am.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 17𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 7:00𝒑𝒎. This will allow all entries to be collated and the LIVE draw carried out in advance. This deadline stands for ALL players and those in surrounding areas will be contacted to ensure monies are collected. As always, the event will be held on high quality Supreme tables. The draw will be posted online as soon as it is carried out.
The event will also be streamed by Chicken Streams, so please tune in if you cannot play or make it along on the day.
The entry fee is £10 per player and matches will begin, as a minimum, best of five frames (although, depending on entries this may be increased). All entry monies will be paid out on the day. Rules will be SPA Blackball, with players lagging the first frame with alternative breaks from then on. Players are to referee their own matches with a floating referee in place on the day. The Tournament Director reserves the right to introduce a one-minute shot clock at any time to prevent ‘slow play’.
The tournament is an "Open" event and therefore entries are encouraged and welcome from players not registered to the Arbroath league, however, you should be familiar with the Blackball rules.
As always, good personal conduct is paramount. It is appreciated pool days are social events too but players who do not conduct themselves properly will either be warned, docked frames or asked to leave the venue. Any players removed from the venue will not be invited back.
Any questions please ask.
In the meantime please feel free to post your interest on this thread.
Note: Posting your interest below does NOT mean you will be in the draw, players must ensure their entry fee is received on or before the deadline to ensure they are in the draw!
