✨ After the buzz of International Yoga Day and the Summer Solstice yesterday, perhaps you're looking for more opportunities to enjoy yoga this week? And if you've been curious to try yoga but haven't quite taken the plunge, I offer a variety of classes to suit all experience levels, with two new classes starting this Tuesday.

All classes are warm, welcoming, and taught in a small group setting (maximum of 6 attendees in Haddington and 8–9 in Dunbar), creating a supportive environment with space for more individual guidance and attention. πŸ’›

NEW CLASSES
🧘 Ashtanga Yoga | Tuesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm
This class is best suited to those with some yoga experience. We connect breath with movement and mindful awareness as we move through a flowing asana (posture) practice, building strength, flexibility and focus before enjoying relaxation at the end.

🌿 Yin Yoga | Tuesday 7:15 - 8:45 pm
Suitable for all experience levels, including beginners. Yin Yoga is a quiet, gentle and meditative practice that invites you to slow down, pause, breathe and reconnect. Through longer-held postures and mindful stillness, the practice encourages deep relaxation and leaves you feeling grounded, balanced and restored.

Reminder for anyone interested, the weather promises to be beautiful for yoga on the beach tomorrow morning. This fundraising event is in aid of the newly formed Yoga Reach Project which has been founded by local teachers here in East Lothian, and celebrates the graduation of 7 wonderful new yoga teachers who have just completed their teacher training. We are thrilled to invite community and friends to our very special event - a celebration of the summer solstice, as well as marking the graduation day of our wonderful trainees of 2026 πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“

It has been another fantastic 6 months of practice, sharing, study, self-discovery, deep connection & suppport. And a whole load of sweat, tears and laughter!

We will meet at the Bridge to Nowhere at 10.30am, wander over to find a spot on beautiful Belhaven Beach (the tide will be on its way out) for a simple beach yoga practice, suitable for all (including complete beginners!). You are invited to stay after the class for some lemon & ginger tea, a sweet treat, and a chat.

AND!! This event feels even more special this year, as we have a special announcement..

This will be a fundraising event, with all proceeds going towards (mini drum roll) a brand new charity - THE YOGA REACH PROJECT which we are in the process of setting up as we speak 🌱

It feels like a full circle moment... the graduates of The Yoga Den YTT 2025 (plus a couple of like-minded others) were so passionate about making yoga accessible, inclusive and reaching more people in the community that we have decided to set up this charity.

The OSCR application is pending, and we are hoping to receive our charity status very soon. The aims of the charity are to support teachers and communities to provide accessible yoga in places where it is needed most. We want to stretch the boundaries of yoga and truly meet people where they are 🀝

It feels so fitting that our first fundraising event will be at this celebration, as the next group of equally passionate and values-led teachers take their first steps in sharing their yoga wider. The ripples will continue onwards γ€°οΈπŸŒŠπŸ₯Ή

Very excited to be back teaching my regular classes this week after a week away, and to be announcing two additional classes starting next week. ✨

Yoga is a journey for each of us who practise, and this year I've been focusing on both deepening my own practice and completing additional teacher training. I'm delighted to now be able to offer 90-minute Yin Yoga classes from next week.

Yin Yoga is a restful and meditative practice that invites you to slow down, soften, and turn inward. Postures are held for longer periods, allowing the body to gently release tension and work into the fascia, improving flexibility and supporting joint health. This quiet, floor-based practice is complemented by mindful breathing and stillness, helping to calm the nervous system and create a sense of balance in both body and mind.

With regular practice, Yin Yoga can help you feel more at ease in your body while offering lasting benefits for your overall wellbeing and nervous system.

Yin offers space to pause, unwind, and simply be, leaving you feeling grounded, relaxed, and restored. The class is suitable for all experience levels, including beginners.

Both this and an additional Ashtanga class will take place in Haddington. Classes will remain small, with a maximum of 6 attendees, making this a wonderful opportunity to receive more individual guidance in a supportive and welcoming space. 🌿
