A final update from the Scots Contingent at this weekends Danish Masters at Copenhagen. First of all what a well run and friendly European event EUROPEAN SQUASH MASTERS this is. The food was second to none. We would highly recommend playing this tournament in future years. As for the Squash, Neil Stone-Wigg delivered and came through his match to come third overall in the M060 category with a 3-0 win. Graham Pert played well and went down in a close fought 3-1 match. Now for a well deserved celebratory drink.

An update from the Scots Contingency in Copenhagen is that the food is superb, however, the competition is tough. Neil Stone-Wigg has won one and lost one and plays for 3/4 play off tomorrow. Graham Pert against two experienced players and lost them both. One more match tomorrow to end the Danish Masters in a positive note. Peter Buchan had to unfortunately withdraw through injury and came last in his competition, but he will be back.

So a mixed set of results on the first day of the Danish Masters. Neil Stone-Wigg leads the charge with two wins from two. The Montrose Squash Club pair of Graham Pert and Peter Buchan both lost but aim to do better tomorrow. Now for a Carlsberg and why not.

This week’s European Squash event sees the Scots challenging the vikings and other Europeans at the Danish Masters in Copenhagen. Neil Stone-Wigg, Graham Pert and Peter Buchan are seeing the sights first with a few Carlsberg’s. Good luck to them all.

Just off court -our Scottish 2026 British Open Masters Champions! Well done you two! We are all proud teammates of you both. Both finals were hard fought against top opponents and Adrian and Donna needed grit, skill and determination to come out top 🏆🏆
