Congratulations to Team O Carson and Team Archibald on winning the Scottish Juniors and the other finalists and semi finalists.

The end of this competion marks a change for our team - Toby will be stepping away and focussing on other commitments.

It's been a very difficult first half of the season:
- No ice due to brilliant rink upgrading and investment at Dumfries
- No coaching
- No time for coaching due to other priorities across the team
- Lack of eligibility and an age out at the end of the last season has meant this team has started and played with 5 different line ups.

Good luck to all teams for the rest of the season.

Bit of a roller coaster weekend at our first U17s this year, some highs - 4 wins (1 bye, 1 great, 1 good, 1 bit meh) - after the group matches we sat third and today were beaten by the two teams who finished above us yesterday. Super tight game against Team Asham in the semi finals and then we ended up 4th in the High Road losing out to team Jardine.

Lots to reflect on and learn from as our first effort as a new U17 line up - tough start to this season with no ice, 3 different line ups for three different competitions so far but we are working it out as we go.

So all in all 4th was a good effort. Thanks to our new teammate Ben for making a success of his U17s debut

Massive congratulations to our Dumfries young curlers mates Team Tiler Curling for lifting the overall title and Team McRobert for winning the Low Road final.

Onwards to Stranraer U21s nexr weekend where we meet our first ever european opposition - sometimes hard to remember we've only played one season together!

Battling through to qualification this weekend. Starting with three tough runs out on the ice against Carson, Rutherford and Brewster, followed by two wins against McRobert and Cowie to nudge us up into qualification.

Well we are away in Aberdeen for the Scottish Curling Junior Qualifiers.

Excited to play but missing our second Toby because he is still a few months away from being officiailly Scottish and eligible to play.

So this weekend we've travelled with an alternate player and wiuld like to thank Aiden for stepping up to the challenge.
