Our 2014s hosted Glenafton Athletic 2014 last night for an 11aside friendly.

Well done to the team. It was a close match, 1-1 at half time finishing at 1-4 to glenafton.
A good effort and some great football. A few things to work on, but good to get an 11 aside under the belt.
Onwards and upwards.

Yesterday our 2014s attended the Heston Festival on what will be their last year there.

Kids played really well with some good teamwork. 5 games played no more than one goal difference in each game.

Thanks Heston for having us and great matches played against 4 teams from outwith region and Threave a local rival.

Well our 2014s had the best time today at the Galloway Thistle Tournament.

Some amazing play from all the kids throughout their games and i hear there was an outstanding save from our goalie Nate. Coaches are proud of you all.

Hi all 👋🏻
We have already had a few enquiries about when our 2021 group will start.....
As in previous years, we are aiming to start the new age group training in September ahead of joining a development league with fixtures commencing February 2027.
Before all this can happen, we are looking to recruit coaches, assistant coaches, first aiders and team helpers. Everyone involved in the Club must have an SFA PVG before they can be involved with the teams, so we are going to start the process now.

Morton Thistle are an SFA Quality Assured Club with over 60 registered officials who will be mentor and help any new volunteers.

Friday night our 2014s played Nithsdale in our first 11aside friendly.

A few issues getting a pitch due to the weather so Penpont was the venue, thanks to them for allowing us to use the pitch/nets.

The game went back and forth, lots of action at both ends of the pitch. Both teams had spells and dealt the best they could on a cold and at times a wet night.

Lots of good play, some outstanding moves and brilliant finishes from Morton with plenty goals and a courageous performance from our goalie playing for the first time in full sized goals.

Lots of players got plenty of experience in some different positions, to try out new things as we transition to 11 aside.

This recognition certifies that Morton has met the required standards set out by the SFA for players, coaches, and officials, and we couldn't be prouder! 💪🏼

This is a reward for all the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown by everyone involved in our club, committee members, coaches, parents, and of course our amazing players! 👏🏼

Might have been cold but didn't affect their spirit, even got some big smiles in the group pic 🤣
