More Rugby Our fun, structured rugby play sessions take children on a journey of sporting imagination. A warm welcome to Rugbytots Droitwich and Redditch!

Our fun, structured play sessions in Droitwich take children on a journey of sporting imagination with our engaging and energetic coaches supporting your little ones every step of the way whilst teaching how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team. Rugbytots is the UK’s rugby-based play programme for 2 – 7 years olds, boys and girls, which focuses upon developing your child’s motor skills and confidence. Our sessions are open to everyone, with both children and parents involved in the fun, a great experience will be had by all. Our coaches are fully-trained, first-aid trained and DBS approved. Their goal is to delivery fun-filled games and activities aimed at improving social skills, hand-to-eye coordination, balance, agility and general ball skills. Of course, we want every player joining us next week to become a better rugby player.

But More Rugby is about more than that.

We want children to enjoy challenging themselves. To have the courage to try something new. To support the players around them. To compete, learn, make mistakes, try again… and have a brilliant time doing it.

Everything we do is built around four values:

In three days, we finally get to put them into practice at our Worcester camp.

Next Monday, our Worcester Summer Rugby Camp gets underway at Worcester RFC.

For us, great children’s coaching isn’t about shouting instructions from the touchline. It’s about knowing when to encourage. When to challenge. How to help a player understand something they couldn’t do before. And making sure they have a brilliant time while they’re learning.

That’s the environment we want to create next week: plenty of rugby, plenty of opportunities to improve and coaches who want every child to leave feeling good about their game. Most importantly, they’ve had FUN.

Plenty of rugby.

We’ll combine focused coaching with games, challenges and opportunities for players to put what they’ve learned into practice.

The aim isn’t to have children standing around listening to coaches all day. We want them active, involved and enjoying their rugby. Developing skills and confidence along the way.

And because every child develops differently, we adapt the coaching and challenges to the players in front of us. Activities appropriate for ability as well as age.

We’re not planning five days of children standing in lines waiting for their turn.

The week is built around developing rugby skills and then giving players plenty of opportunities to actually use them through games, challenges and fun activities.

We’ll work across the game, including passing, catching, kicking, evasion and age-appropriate contact skills, with coaching adapted to the players in front of us.

Most importantly, we want children going home each day having played a lot of rugby and already looking forward to coming back.
