A huge congratulations to our Captain’s Player of the Match from last week’s game! 🏉👏

This award was so well deserved after an outstanding performance and a real contribution to the team from start to finish. For one of our newer players, she has truly hit the ground running since joining us and has already become such an important part of the squad.

She put in some fantastic runs throughout the game, constantly driving us forward and making metres when we needed them most. Her determination, effort and attitude helped get us over the line and played a massive part in the result.

It’s been brilliant to see the impact she’s made in such a short space of time, and this performance showed exactly what she brings to the team. A great example of hard work paying off and hopefully the first of many Player of the Match performances to come.

🏉🖤💛 IT'S DERBY DAY!💛🖤🏉

The wait is over! This Saturday morning we make the short trip to take on local rivals Birkenshaw Blue Dogs in a derby clash that promises plenty of excitement, passion, and Rugby League action!

Local derbies are about more than just the result. They're about pride, commitment, and representing your club, teammates, and community. Every tackle, every carry, every metre gained matters when local bragging rights are on the line.

Our girls have worked incredibly hard throughout the season and will be looking to put in a performance full of courage, determination, and teamwork. We know they'll give everything they've got from the first whistle to the last.

A huge congratulations to one of our newer players for being awarded Coach's Player of the Match from Saturday's game 👏

She had her best game of the season so far and was outstanding from start to finish. Fast off the line in defence, she put pressure on the opposition all game and pulled off some awesome tackles that really helped the team.

What makes this achievement even more special is seeing how much she has grown since joining us. Her confidence is blossoming with every match she plays, and it's fantastic to watch her develop her skills, back herself, and become an important part of the team.

This award is thoroughly deserved and is a testament to all the hard work and determination she's shown throughout the season. We can't wait to see what she achieves next!

A huge congratulations to our Magic Moment winner from Saturday's match!

After spending some time away from the game through injury, she showed incredible determination and resilience to get herself back on the pitch. She didn't let the setback stop her, and her performance was outstanding from start to finish.

Her line speed was absolutely brilliant, putting the opposition under pressure all game, and she made some fantastic one-on-one tackles that demonstrated both her confidence and commitment to the team.

A huge congratulations to our Parents’ Player of the Match from Saturday’s game! 👏🏉

She is always a brilliant performer, but this week her defensive work was simply unstoppable. Time and time again she put her body on the line, shutting down attacks and leading by example with her determination and commitment.

It’s also been fantastic to see her finding her feet as Captain. She continues to grow into the role, guiding and encouraging the team on the pitch while setting the standards with her performances.

Congratulations to this little superstar who was awarded Opposition Player of the Match from Saturday’s game. 🏉👏

It was easy to see why she caught the opposition’s attention. Throughout the game, she ran hard, carried strong, and consistently got us on the front foot. More often than not, it took four or five defenders to bring her to ground, and even then she was still fighting for extra metres.

Her go-forward was outstanding all game, making valuable yards through the middle and laying a solid platform for the team. The work she put in with ball in hand made a real difference and kept us moving forward when it mattered most.

A well-earned recognition from the opposition and a reward for a strong, physical performance. Well done – thoroughly deserved! 💪🏉

What a fantastic game of rugby yesterday as we came away with a 22-8 victory over HRF Corinthians.

It is a real pleasure to face HRF Corinthians again, especially as the last time we met was right at the start of the season. Looking back, it is incredible to see just how much both teams have developed over the course of the year. The improvement, confidence and quality on display from both sides is a credit to every player, coach and volunteer involved.

From the first whistle, the game was played with great intensity, commitment and respect. Drighlington shows determination in defence and creativity in attack, working hard for every metre and taking opportunities when they come. The effort across the park is outstanding, with every player contributing to a strong team performance.

While we are delighted with the result, today's match is about more than the scoreboard. It is about seeing the progress that has been made since our first meeting and celebrating the growth of two teams that continue to push each other to be better.

A huge thank you to HRF Corinthians for a competitive, spirited and enjoyable contest. We wish them all the very best for the rest of the season.
