Our final Toddler Forest School session before a little break was the perfect way to end 💚 We enjoyed exploring all our favourite activities from the past weeks, planted sunflower seeds to take home and grow 🌻, and made the most of our beautiful space one last time - 6 weeks of happy faces enjoying nature!
We’re hoping to return with more toddler sessions and some new sessions in the spring — and we can’t wait to share what’s coming ✨
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported us — we’ve loved every muddy, magical moment 🌿

Our 5th and penultimate Toddler Forest School session — and the sun came out! 🌞 What a difference it made. Such happy little people splashing in puddles, mud painting, and enjoying lots of other outdoor fun 💚
Just one session left next week before we take a short break, and we’re already going to miss these magical mornings so much 🌿✨

Our 4th Toddler Forest School session was cold but full of fun ❄️💚 With a Valentine’s theme, we made love potions, cut hearts from mud dough, created heart Cheerio bird feeders, and beautiful heart nature wands 🌿💕
We even tried to leave a straw heart for the deer — but the toddlers were far too excited to get stuck into their activities!
There are just 2 sessions left before we take a short break, after which we’ll be launching sessions for older children too ✨

Our 3rd Toddler Forest School session was full of woodland fun 🍃 We made bug hotels, had a mini pinecone competition, and everyone enjoyed a warm chocolate banana roasted on the fire 🔥🍌 Such a lovely morning!
Next week we’ll be adding a little Valentine’s theme to our session 💕🌿

🌿 Our first Forest Quest Driffield session 🌿

What a way to start! It was very cold and a bit windy, but it was also so much fun and such a lovely first session for walking toddlers to age 2.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along, wrapped up warm, and embraced the winter weather. The toddlers had a brilliant time exploring, making big movements, and getting hands-on with the mud — learning through play, curiosity, and real experiences.

We’re learning and growing as a brand-new setting, and I’m so grateful for the support, patience, and positivity already shown.

Thank you again for such a wonderful start — I can’t wait to welcome more little explorers soon 🌲🤎

🌿 Forest Quest Driffield – Toddler Forest School Sessions 🌿

I’m so excited to share that my first Forest School sessions for toddlers will be starting soon at The Orchard, just off Beverley Road, Driffield.

These sessions are designed especially for walking toddlers up to 2 years old, attended with a parent or carer, and focus on gentle outdoor play, exploration, and connection.

📅 When:
Sundays, starting 25th January
Running for 6 weeks
⏰ 10:00–11:30am – planned to work around morning nap times 🤞🏻

🌲 What to expect:
• Outdoor, child-led Forest School play
• A winter theme of big movements – perfect for colder weather
• Space to move, climb, explore, carry, push, pull, and play
• Simple and fun nature-based activities
• A relaxed, welcoming environment for toddlers and grown-ups

👶 Who it’s for:
• Walking toddlers up to 2 years old
• Parent(s) or carers stay with their child

💷 Cost:
£7 per session (includes one adult and one toddler)
You’re welcome to book a single session or multiple weeks!

🚗 Parking:
Street parking nearby – usually not an issue

🚼 Facilities:
As we’re a brand-new site, there is currently no toilet access.
A changing area and potty space for toddlers will be available.

We’re still at the very beginning of our Forest Quest Driffield journey, learning and growing as we go — but our aim is to offer a warm, supportive introduction to outdoor education for Driffield’s youngest explorers.

Hello Driffield 👋🌿

I’m Jen, the face behind Forest Quest Driffield, running forest school sessions from The Orchard – a beautiful family site just off Beverley Road.

I’m an ex-primary school teacher with QTS and a PGCE, fully DBS checked, and currently training as a Forest School Leader. I work alongside Forest Quest York, and I’m so excited to be bringing their ethos and approach to outdoor learning into my own local community.

I’m also a mum to a busy 1-year-old, with another little one on the way 🤍

We’re still very much new and growing – learning, building, and improving as we go – but our aim is simple: to offer meaningful, nurturing outdoor education for Driffield children, rooted in curiosity, confidence, and connection to nature.

We're proud to announce the establishment of "Forest Quest Driffield". One of our team, Jen, who lives in Driffield will be running Forest sessions from 'The Orchard', a lovely space on the outskirts of the town. We spent today setting up the fire circle and very soon Jen will be advertising her first sessions at the site. We're all excited for this new venture and wish Jen all the best.
