Today, the Driffield Agricultural Society is proud to support Back British Farming Day and celebrate the farmers and agricultural businesses who work tirelessly to produce the food we enjoy, care for our countryside and support our rural communities.
Agriculture is at the heart of what we do. Through the Driffield Show, we are proud to provide a platform each year to showcase the very best of British farming, from livestock and machinery to local produce, agricultural businesses and the people who make our rural communities so special.
Our commitment to agriculture also extends beyond the Show. Through our educational projects and initiatives, we work to help children and young people better understand where their food comes from, the importance of farming and the vital role agriculture plays in caring for our countryside and shaping the future of rural communities.
Farming plays a vital role in all our lives, and it is important that we continue to recognise, support and celebrate the contribution made by British farmers — while inspiring the next generation to understand and value the industry.
