This morning it was our turn to host at a very foggy Castle Douglas High School 🌫️

Once play got underway, the sun started to break through and a great crowd of spectators were treated to some excellent football from all teams ⚽️

We had two Threave teams on the attack today and both did us proud 💙

A big thank you to our friends at Heston Rovers Football Club 2017's & Morton Thistle Juniors 2017s Boys and Morton Thistle Juniors Girls for making the journey across - always appreciated 👏

A great morning of football for the Threave Rovers 2017s in sunny Moffat today ☀️⚽

Another 7-aside tournament for the boys and they all did very well, showing great effort, teamwork and enjoying getting muddy on the grass pitches (Sorry parents 😬😂)

A big thank you to the organisers at Upper Annandale for hosting such an enjoyable day for the kids. 👏

“I joined the fire service to help serve and protect the community where I live and work. I was also keen to learn new skills and be part of a team.”

“I really enjoy Emergency Response Driver training and Breathing Apparatus training. I also like helping new recruits at the station build their skills and confidence. It’s very satisfying to be part of a team you can depend on during high-pressure and challenging situations.”

“When I’m not on call or at work, I’m usually on the sidelines coaching the Threave Rovers 2017s football team that my son plays for. I also enjoy getting out on the golf course, watching football, and spending quality time with my family.”

An excellent run out for Threave Rovers 2017s in their first 7-a-side tournament at St Joseph’s College this morning 👏⚽️

Great skills, teamwork and determination on show from all the boys, they should be very proud of themselves! It was fantastic to see their confidence growing with every game.

We were also very glad to have our new waterproof jackets (Thanks Garden Rooms by Signature Woodwork) on hand, which definitely helped in the downpour when we arrived 🌧️💪

A big thank you to Heston Rovers for organising a brilliant morning of football..very well run and enjoyed by everyone! 🙌 ⚽️

🧤 Meet Our Goalies! 🧤

A big shout-out to Luke Hamilton and Fergus Martin, our Threave Rovers Youth Development 2017 goalkeepers 👏

The boys were pulling off some fantastic saves in training this morning, and they’re looking super smart in their new goalie strips, proudly sponsored by W.H. McWilliams Haulage 🙌

This was also our last Saturday training session before we move to Wednesday evening training, so a great way to wrap it up!

Exciting times! ⚽️

We are delighted to announce that whilst working in partnership with Threave Rovers FC we have been successful in securing funds through the Pitching In Fund, supported by the UK Government and that work has started on a much needed 3G facility on the land behind Meadow Park.

Funds have also been secured from The Holywood Trust, The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and local funds which means the dream of our very own 3G pitch will soon become a reality.

Great news for both clubs and the local community. Exciting times ahead

Great News! 🎉
Our Threave Rovers Girls teams (U8s to U12s) have been successfully nominated for the Tesco Stronger Starts programme (blue tokens)!
This is a fantastic opportunity for our local community to support girls' football right here in our area. All funding we receive will go directly towards new equipment and upgrading our existing kit — helping us provide even better sessions for the girls.
Our aim is simple: to give as many young girls as possible the chance to play, enjoy, and thrive in football. This funding would make a huge difference in creating more opportunities and a stronger platform for them.
If you shop at your local Tesco, please keep an eye out for us in the blue token voting area
