This industry gave me a lot… but it also took a lot.
19 years in hospitality taught me what hard work really looks like.
The energy, the buzz, the camaraderie, the feeling when a service just flows… there’s nothing quite like it.
That’s the side of hospitality I love.
And it’s the side I want more people to experience.
But I’ve also seen what happens when disrespect, burnout and toxic behaviour become “normal”.
I’ve been in kitchens where shouting, bullying and sexual harassment were brushed off as
“that’s just how it is.”
I stayed longer than I should have.
I questioned myself.
I thought I was the problem.
I wasn’t.
And neither are you.
The Hospitality Reset exists because I’m tired of seeing good people feel:
• unsafe
• unheard
• not good enough
• stuck in environments that slowly wear them down
This isn’t about tearing the industry down.
It’s about bringing it back to what it could be.
More:
• respect
• support
• growth
• enjoyment
Less:
• fear
• silence
• burnout
• toxic behaviour
I want people in hospitality to feel:
• confident
• respected
• safe to be themselves
• able to set boundaries without guilt
Because this isn’t “just how it is”… and it doesn’t have to be.
If you’ve ever felt like this in hospitality - you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to keep accepting it.
This is the start of something different.
