🎾 A BRILLIANT WEEKEND FOR OUR 12U COUNTY CUP TEAMS! 🎾

🏆 Congratulations to our 12U Boys - County Cup Champions 🏆

💥 What a weekend for our boys, who came away as County Cup Champions after an incredible run of tennis and a nail-biting final!

Playing at home venue East Dorset LTCC, the team made a flying start in Group B with two superb 6-0 victories against Cornwall and the Channel Islands.

Up against Group A winners Devon in the final, some hard-fought singles matches saw the score level at 2-2 heading into the doubles. Both doubles matches went to nail-biting match tie-breaks, with the teams eventually finishing 3-3 – a tiebreak shootout would decide the champions!

💪 Showing fantastic composure under pressure, Dorset secured the shootout 10-5, sparking brilliant celebrations from the boys and home supporters! 🎉🏆

🌟 Fantastic weekend for our 12U girls 🌟

💥 A weekend of excellent tennis and tremendous team spirit from our girls team.

Playing in Play-Off Group 1A with a place in the National Finals at stake, the girls got off to a winning start with a 4-2 victory over Berkshire.

Next up was a very strong Cambridgeshire side who took the win 5-1, ending Dorset’s hopes of reaching the National Finals.

Showing great determination and team spirit, the girls headed into the final day fighting for 3rd/4th place against Avon. Dorset led 3-1 heading into the doubles, but Avon fought back strongly to win both doubles.

With the match level, another tiebreak shootout followed, with Avon eventually taking the win.

💥 An outstanding weekend of tennis, with fantastic performances, determination and, as always, brilliant team spirit from everyone involved.

👏 Well done to our men’s O60s padel team on a fantastic effort at the O60s Padel County Cup.

🎾 The team finished 5th overall after a strong campaign. They narrowly lost to Gloucestershire, who went on to become the eventual runners-up, in the quarter-finals, before bouncing back to beat Essex and Scotland East to secure 5th place.

💥 A brilliant effort from everyone involved - well done Team Dorset 💪

🎾 What a week of brilliant tennis at our County Championships 2026! 🏆

🎾 The County Championships took place at Victoria Avenue Tennis Club, 23rd to 28th August. Fantastic to see juniors from across the county coming together, competing hard, having fun and battling it out for those all-important Championship titles! 💪🎾

🌧️ With rain forecast towards the end of the week, a number of finals were brought forward, but with a great turnout from players, friends, families and supporters, Finals Day was a huge success with the remaining finals producing some fantastic tennis and plenty of fun off-court too 🎾🌭

🔥 BBQ�🎾 Touch Tennis Tournament organised by our Junior Committee�🏆 Award Presentations�😄 And LOTS of fun!

📣 Shout-out to Erik, Ruen, Noah and Nadine for making the Touch Tennis Tournament happen. Fantastic to see players aged 8–18 getting involved, with a brilliant atmosphere and plenty of smiles all round!
