A beautiful morning for the Christchurch River pageant. Join us from 12:00 noon at Tuckton Tea Gardens for a trip down the river to the Christchurch Town Quay.

Final plans are in place for this year's River Pageant.
Join us on 25th July. The river parade starts at 12 noon from Tuckton Tea Gardens and will arrive at Christchurch Town Quay from 12.20 onwards. Join us on the water if you dare or watch the parade from either bank on the river. All in aid of local charity.

A massive thanks to Christchurch Rotary for promoting the pageant, thank you so much, we really are trying to pull together one of the best days of the year.

We are trying to make it a fund day for all the family & to make this event, something that people will talk about for months afterwards & months leading up to the next one. It is for Charity, & we hope that we raise a lot of money for the great causes we are supporting, but we want you to be safe & have fun. 😀

Join us on Saturday, 25th July 2026, for a spectacular day on the River Stour! Whether you are participating on the water or enjoying the festivities on land, it’s going to be a day to remember.

T̲h̲e̲ D̲a̲y̲’̲s̲ S̲c̲h̲e̲d̲u̲l̲e̲:̲
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Entertainment, local traders, and stalls at Tuckton Tea Gardens.

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: The main event! Watch the pageant fleet depart from Tuckton and travel along the river, finishing at Christchurch Quay.

We’re inviting everyone, from paddleboarders and kayakers to larger boats and homemade rafts, to join the procession. It’s a wonderful way to support our community and raise funds for some truly amazing local charities.

They're back!

We are so lucky to have as stars of the Pageant again this year our Dragon Boats

🐉 Here is a little history about our local Dragon Boats

We are so lucky to have two incredible teams on the River Stour:

• Pink Ch*****ne Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team – supporting breast cancer survivors
• Bourne Water Dragons – the UK’s first all‑inclusive cancer survivor team

Both offer exercise, friendship and vital support for anyone affected by cancer.

Dragon boating as therapy began in 1996 with Dr Don McKenzie in Canada, whose research showed that paddling improves fitness, reduces swelling and boosts wellbeing. Today, there are 300+ teams in 40+ countries.

Here in Christchurch, our two teams paddle in the beautiful harbour, surrounded by wildlife and community spirit — and both welcome new members.
