"But you looked good before"

When a woman shares a physical transformation some people feel the need to bowl in and say that her body was acceptable before.

Well, of course it was, no one said it wasn't.

The point wasn’t that there was something "wrong" with my body in my before pic.

I thought everyone would understand, the point was that after cancer, mastectomy and multiple surgeries, I wanted to feel athletic again. I wanted to feel strong, energised and properly back in my body and, yep, I wanted to look athletic again too. I happen to like looking and feeling athletic.

Fitness is my work, a huge part of my identity and how I feel good in myself.

Wanting that after everything my body has been through is not something I should have to apologise for or defend.

Not the most dramatic transformation on the outside, I know, but I'd been through a lot in the lead up to this 'before' pic and 3 months down the line I felt like I'd really come back to myself.

I'm proud of what I've achieved this year and I'm walking proof of what my workouts do.

Your upper body needs this.

Pullover is the often-overlooked hero of upper body exercises.

It works arms, shoulders, back and core, but the magic is really locking in core control to keep your body locked in place while the weight moves overhead.

Done right, it helps build an amazingly strong, sculpted upper body and the kind of posture that makes you look super-fit.
