Welcome to Dorchester United Football Club, We have 2 adult teams, our first team competes in Dorset Division 5 and our reserves in Dorset Division 6
Our home matches are Played at Broadmayne playing fields, Cowleaze road.

A big day for Dorchester United today, just over a year after we were formed our firsts and reserves will play on the same day! This is testament to all of the hard work everybody has put in behind the scenes to make the club what it is today!!

Our firsts travel to division 2 Corfe Castle which will be a tough test!

Our reserves welcome beaminster reserves who will be full of confidence after getting promoted last season.

The fixtures are out.

Our first team kick off the season at home, as they welcome West Moors to Broadmayne.

And going in the opposite direction the reserves will travel to west moors to take on west moors reserves.

The players are ready and raring to go and putting in the final hard yards in training!

Dorchester United 3-1 Poundbury Reserves

Following on from a solid result at the weekend, We welcomed Poundbury Reserves to Broadmayne which was always going to be a tough game against a good team in our league.

The Romans were having a lot of luck going forward in the first but we not clinical, midway through the first half a poor defensive mistake led to a Poundbury penalty which was converted to put the away team 0-1 up, the lads kept up the pressure and were rewarded with a goal via Harry Brewer who somehow found out he had a right foot!!!! (We’re as shocked as you are)

1-1 at halftime, an extended half time to watch the solar eclipse.

The second half poundbury started the brighter having a spell of good chances and Ben making some good saves to keep the scores 1-1.

The Romans took the lead midway through the second half with Damon anticipating a ball at the back post, a few minutes later the Dorchester made it 3 following a back pass with some quick thinking and Taylor Jay finding the net.

Another good run out for the lads and are improving game by game.

We wish Poundbury good luck for the rest of the season

Man of the match goes to Ben Thickett for another solid display back in the side for his 2nd game back!! 🔵⚫️
