Sometimes it’s the smallest decisions that have the biggest impact on our day.

Today, I decided to move my office outside and make the most of the warm weather.

A simple change, but one that instantly lifted my mood and energy.

This week, as I’ve been talking about resilience, I’m reminded that resilience isn’t always about pushing harder or doing more. Often, it’s about noticing what you need in the moment and doing what you can to support yourself.

You don’t have to do everything. Just one small positive choice can change the course of your day.

What’s one small thing you can do for yourself today?

Ps yes the events shelter is still up from Father’s Day, it’s a good job I didn’t get round to that job too quickly - I’m going to need it later!

Resilience isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about how you bounce back from challenge and obstacles!

There’s a moment most of us experience, after a setback.
Something doesn’t go to plan. You doubt yourself. You wonder if you’ve got it wrong.
And suddenly, holding back feels far safer than trying again.

But this is where I want to gently shift your perspective.

In coaching, resilience isn’t defined as “just pushing through.”
It’s your ability to:
• stay connected to who you are
• respond with intention- not fear
• keep moving forward after things haven’t gone to plan

Resilience isn’t about never falling; it’s about how you deal with it when you do. Because this is where self-belief is built.

Every time you:
✔ try again after a setback
✔ speak to yourself with compassion
✔ take the next step, even when confidence is low

You strengthen your trust in yourself. Hmm, we have heard that before haven’t we – action – evidence- confidence?

So if something hasn’t worked out, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
It means you’re being given the opportunity to try again, differently.

Like the Phoenix – It’s time to rise!

How could you choose to respond differently to your last setback?

Confidence doesn’t disappear overnight, but for many women, it quietly fades.

One of my clients shared something recently that really stayed with me.

When we first started working together, she said, “At work, I know exactly what I’m doing, but outside of that … I’m not really sure who I am.”

This woman is capable, high-performing and very well respected in her role.

But beyond work and the everyday roles she showed up in for everyone else, but herself. She felt lost.

Her confidence hadn’t disappeared in a big, obvious way. It had slowly worn down over time, and with it, her sense of identity.

This is something I see again and again. Women who are holding so much at work, at home, for others - yet quietly questioning themselves.

I’ve been there too. I know what it feels like to look around and think…

“Who am I, outside of all the things I do for everyone else?”

So we didn’t try to rebuild everything overnight. Instead, we started small:

Reconnecting with what actually matters to her
Noticing her own voice and opinions again
Making space for herself, not just her roles
Taking small steps that were just for her

And quickly, things began to shift. Not because everything suddenly became clear, but because she started trusting herself again. Showing up for herself again.

And now - she describes herself very differently. It isn't just her description, the change is visible.

More grounded.
More certain.
More her.

This is the work supporting women to reconnect with themselves and rebuild confidence from the inside out.

Because when you’ve spent so long being everything to everyone else, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are.

Where could you take one small step back to yourself this week?

If you’re ready to rebuild your confidence and reconnect with who you are, I have a small number of 1:1 coaching spaces open - DM me SUMMER to find out more.

Self belief and confidence!

We think we need to feel confident first, but actually - we need to take the action, to gather evidence which in turn forms our “confident” identity!

So don’t wait to feel ready - start anyway!

What’s one small action you can take today?

If you’re ready to feel more confident, take that first action and get in touch today, I have some 1:1 coaching spaces still available through the summer!

Just to end our week on "Limiting Beliefs"...

Some of your limiting beliefs aren’t even yours. They were taught, repeated, reinforced.

But today, and every day from here - you get to choose differently.
Your limiting beliefs are often inherited patterns, not personal failures.

They come from:
Childhood conditioning
Authority figures
Repeated emotional experiences

So, when you feel resistance, fear, or doubt, it doesn’t mean you’re incapable - It means you’re stepping outside of what once felt safe.

We can be so used to living within these limiting beliefs, that we don’t realise that the truth is - the opinions and judgements from those around you – reflect them - not you.

They are their limits, their fears, their projections - Not your truth.

Growth will feel uncomfortable when your comfort zone was built around restriction, but short-term discomfort is outweighed by long term gain.

The work isn’t to wait until you feel confident, it’s to move forward while those old beliefs are still talking.

To lead anyway
To show up anyway
To trust yourself anyway.

Do it for you.
Do it for the old you who learned to hold back.
Do it for the future you who refuses to stay small.
Do it despite the noise, actually – do it INSPITE of it.

Because every time you move forward, you rewrite the story.
And that’s where everything begins to change.

August coaching spots are open.

If you’re ready to challenge your limits and step into your next level, message "SUMMER" to get started.

Calling all local female leaders, business owners and plate-spinners…

Are you the one everyone relies on, but rarely pause to catch your own breath?

I’ve been speaking to so many brilliant women locally who are juggling a lot - leading teams, bossing high pressure roles, running businesses, building empires and managing the MANY competing demands that go hand in hand with these! All while trying to smile and quietly balance the pressure behind the scenes.

I have been thinking about putting together a series of small, supportive and practical workshops locally, designed specifically for women like us, navigating all of this.

These sessions would be more than networking and support -providing valuable insight and supportive strategies on things like:
▪️ Managing overwhelm before it turns into burnout
▪️ Building confidence in your role or business
▪️ Making decisions more easily (and trusting them)
▪️ Staying focused and energised when everything feels full-on

If something like this was available in/around Ashby de la Zouch, would it be something you’d find useful?

There is absolutely no pressure at all, at this point I am just testing interest and shaping something that genuinely fits with what’s needed locally.

If it resonates, feel free to comment or message me 😊

3 Signs Your Mindset Is Holding You Back

You might not be stuck because of your situation…but because of your mindset.

Sometimes it’s not what’s happening around you, it can be how we are thinking about it and responding that is the challenge.

Here are 3 subtle signs your mindset might be holding you back:

• You overthink every decision - You’re waiting for certainty, but it never quite comes- it’s always just out of sight around the corner.
• You talk yourself out of opportunities - before you’ve even tried, you’ve already decided it won’t work or it is not for you.
• You stay busy, but don’t feel like you’re moving forward - lots of action, but not much progress.

The common thread - a lack of trust in yourself.

Self-belief, esteem and confidence are all closely linked, and regardless of what we tell ourselves, about the reasons behind it – our history, experience, other people, lack of opportunity etc…. it all boils down to the fact, that we don’t trust ourselves – to see something through, or “show up” when we need them to.

So we need to build up the evidence, that we can trust ourselves, and with that our self-belief changes, and in turn that… changes everything!

Because when we start to believe differently, we act differently, and things will begin to shift.

I’ve been diving deeper into this in my own work recently and with some of my clients, and I see it time and time again with the women I support. If you think, you need a whole portfolio of evidence – you don’t – the tiniest of promises that we keep to ourselves start to make this shift for us. These seemingly small changes, build momentum quickly, motivating us to do more and building that self-confidence, and changing our mindset!

So tell me - reading the three above, which one resonates with you most?

If you’re feeling stuck in any of these patterns, this is exactly where coaching can help.

July is nearly full, but I still have a small number of 1:1 space for August.

DM me “SUMMER” if you’re ready to move forward with more confidence.

How to Identify Limiting Beliefs ...

Ever noticed the thoughts that quietly hold you back - even when you’ve done something many times before?

As I write this, I’m sat in a hotel room in Manchester, getting ready to deliver three full days of leadership and management training.

This is something I do regularly. It’s familiar. It’s part of my world – and I really enjoy it.

And yet … these stupid thoughts still show up.

“Am I fully prepared and am I bringing enough?”
“Will this land in the right way?”
“Am I good enough, skilled enough, knowledgeable enough for my delegates”

Not loud. Not overwhelming. But there … making me question myself and undermining my confidence.

That’s the thing about limiting beliefs - they don’t disappear just because you’re experienced or capable. They just get quieter, sometimes more subtle – and that is where the work begins.

Over time, I’ve learned not to ignore them, but to work with them:
• Notice the thought (without judging it)
• Strategise - what’s needed here, what is the thought trying to tell me?
• Quiet the noise, by coming back to what you know is true
• And then – breathe deep and continue anyway

Because self-belief isn’t about never doubting yourself. It’s about not letting that doubt stop you. It’s about trusting yourself enough to keep going.

This is exactly the work I do in coaching, helping you recognise those patterns, shift your thinking, and still move forward with clarity and confidence.

Because it’s not about getting rid of every limiting belief…it’s about not being led by them.

So, I’m curious - what’s one thought that tends to show up for you when you’re stepping into something important?

If you’re ready to strengthen your self-belief and move forward more intentionally, I have a few 1:1 coaching space open for July & August.

Just message me SUMMER and I’ll share more.

Following on from my Monday post, this might change how you approach your to-do list.

We often think if we’re busy, we must be making progress.

But being busy and moving forward, are not always the same thing.

We can fill our days… tick off endless to-do lists (or re-write the same thing on numerous days in my case) …and still feel like you’re standing still.

Because real progress doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from doing what matters.

Clear priorities
Aligned energy
Purposeful action

That’s where things start to shift.

I’ve been refining this in my own work recently, and it’s powerful. Not doing everything… but doing the right things.

This is exactly the kind of shift I’m supporting my clients with right now, especially as we head into summer and reassess what really matters.

Are you currently busy… or intentional?

If you’re tired of feeling busy but stuck, this is exactly where coaching can help.

I’m opening a small number of 1:1 coaching spaces for July & August.
DM me SUMMER if you’re ready to start working more intentionally.
