"well.. another pre season completed and another year involved with the madhouse that is Owston Ferry SC.

Our first game of the season is almost upon us, after a solid pre season, weโ€™re raring to go! We know this will be up there with the toughest games we have this season, especially with Bluebell having some great results in pre season but I believe the squad is in a great frame of mind and we go there wanting a win and nothing else, especially with the additions weโ€™ve made to our squad during the summer.

I also want to say thank you to everybody for their efforts the last few months.

Not only is Rhys Popplewell back for another season, he's also stepping up and joining the management team as our new ASSISTANT MANAGER! ๐Ÿ‘”โšฝ๏ธ

When he's actually required on the pitch, you'll usually find Rhys operating at Left Back / Left Wing Back, but it's his football brain that's earned him the promotion this year.

Rhys has unbelievable football knowledge, understands the game brilliantly and is genuinely one of the best lads you could have around a football club.

Kayden Stevens is back with the Ferry! ๐Ÿ”ดโšซ๏ธ

Operating in Central Midfield, Kayden has bags of ability. Quick, brilliant feet, confident on the ball and always looking to make something happen.

When he's actually stood up, he's some player. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

For someone with such good balance and footwork, he spends an absolutely remarkable amount of time horizontal.

Touched? Floor.
Shoulder-to-shoulder? Floor.
Strong gust of wind? Floor.
Nobody within 10 yards of him? Somehowโ€ฆ floor. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

But we'll forgive him because when he's got the ball at his feet, he's an absolute nightmare to play against. Kayden became a massive part of the squad last season, picking up the most Player of the Match awards along the way, and we're buzzing to have him back involved for another year. ๐Ÿ”ฅโšฝ๏ธ
