River Don, Sprotbrough – 16 fished

3. Mark Wilson – 6lb 11oz
4. Ian Exley – 6lb 9oz
5. Steve Leathley / Shane Gallagher – both 5lb 11oz
Unfortunately there was no change in the conditions and the water is still really low and clear. Thankfully this river is always good for plenty of bites🎣.

Although a few skimmers were caught along the length on the feeder, small fish dominated the match on poles, whips and bolo’s and made for a close match.

Today’s winner Kev had roach and some better-stamp perch, while runner-up Chris had a busy day with all small fish — both catching on the pole. Taking 3rd was Mark, again on the pole, with Ian catching skimmers on the feeder.

As usual, many thanks to Glyn for running the match.

Just a heads-up: there’s an NRM qualifier at Sprotbrough on Saturday, with a few tickets still available. If anybody is interested, pop onto the Northern River Masters website below 👍.

A very tight match today after a bit of rain freshened the river up a bit.Mixed nets of skimmers,perch and roach to all methods with lowest weight being 6lb 5oz.Well done lads.Thanks for your attendance today lads and thanks to Glyn for running the match. A poor turnout today with the river being on its arse still.Todays winner and finally getting over the line Andy had 20 pech on the feeder and roach on whip to hand with maggot hookbait.Runner up Kev had a mixed net on the pole.Third place Shane had small fish on the pole.Thanks for turning out lads.Match next week.
