The shop starts summer hours this week: Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, Sunday from 10:30am to (at least) 2:30pm. I may stay open later if necessary on Sundays.

I've had a message from Facebook to say that the image and post of the 'neck gaiter' that I've had made up to sell in the shop to raise some money for Aberdyfi SRT has 'infringed on someone else's trademark rights or promotes counterfeit goods'. As a result, the post was removed by Facebook. Apparently, the content was reported by a third party, presumably the brand who manufactured the item for me and with whom I have a trade account! So I'm going to post it again - but this time without mentioning any brand names. However, I can assure you that this item is not counterfeit! Duke developed bloat on Sunday afternoon. Luckily, I recognized the symptoms and got him to an emergency appointment at the vets. They confirmed by x-ray that he had bloat and a twisted stomach, and had to operate asap. Thankfully, he came through the op, but was slow to recover. Today he was well enough to come home and is now off his face on pain killers. I can't thank Sophie at Milfeddygon Dolgellau Vets enough! (Bloat can develop with no particular cause, although can be attributed to a blockage or activity after eating. Large, deep chested dogs are more prone to it. Symptoms include lethargy, continuous retching and a bloated, hard belly)

Friday, February 13th. Much snow about! This is the halfway point on the Snowdon railway. There is also new snow on Cadair Idris as well as other local hills. Tomorrow is looking like a nice day, but more snow on the tops is forecast for Sunday. I have micro-spikes in stock if needed!
