Diss and District Angling Club

Diss and District Angling Club nothing beats the feeling of a tight line Diss and District Angling Club, is centred around the South Norfolk and North Suffolk area of East Anglia.

D.D.A.C is a thriving club which caters for every level of angling , whether you like big carp fishing or bashing out a few silvers, there is always a challenge to be had. D.D.A.C has control over the fishing rights to the Mere in the centre of Diss. The Mere is a lovely water which hold carp to over 20lb as well as a good head of small carp which can be great fun on the pole or waggler. The club

also has the use of two pits at Tunmores fishery in Norfolk and Yaxley lake in Yaxley Village. We at Diss control over 5 miles of the River Waveney, from Scole bridge down to Brockdish. Membeship can be obtained through Diss Angling Centre on Victoria rd in Diss.

Todays match was at Ellingham over both lakes.

Top lake

1st Dordy Wilby peg 6 with 48lb 14oz using paste short

2nd place Kelvin Philpott on peg 1 with 43lb 10oz all caught on the feeder

3rd was Mark Ellis on peg 3 with 19lb 5oz

Bottom Lake

1st Ben Wilby peg 21 with 124lb 13oz mainly using pellet and corn

2nd was Kelvin Baker on peg 30 with a weight of 59lb 8oz using paste mainly

3rd place on the lake went to Bill Malsters on peg 17 with 41lb 5oz although multiple lost fish in the reeds did cost him

Yesterday's match was at Tunmores in the 1st of the Tony Raven series.

1st place was Bill Malaters with a weight of 10lb 8oz including some of the small carp that was introduced.

2nd place Dordy Wilby with 7lb 8oz of roach and rudd

3rd place waa tied between Steve Mitchess and Colin Lea who both had 4lb 8oz

Yesterdays match was at Lake William and we knew it would be tough with a full house taking up the lake.

1st place was Jimmy Ellis on peg 12 with a weight of 20lb 12oz mainly made up of bream

2nd place went to Kelvin Philpott on peg 10 with 16lb 9oz

3rd place was Malcolm Kester on peg 14 with 8lb 7oz

Next Sundays match at Ellingham still has a couple spaces. Tuesday at Stonham Barnes new lake has plenty of space left so get booked in.

Today we were at Thornham Lakes as a venue change due to the Carnival in town.

The lakes have been fishing well all week since the opening and we expected the same today.

We get a close match with most anglers getting between 20 and 50lb.

Top rod on the day went to Ashley Emms on peg 14 catching larger carp to weight 53lb 4oz

2nd place went to Mark Ellis on peg 13 with a weight of 42lb 2oz caught mainly on the feeder

3rd place was Steve Edwards on peg 7 with lots of smaller carp fishing pole tactics. His weight was 36lb 3oz

4th place was Malcolm Kester with 32lb 8oz from peg 1

5th place was Dordy Wilby with 29lb 1roz from peg 4

6th place was Kelvin Baker on peg 8 with a weight of 29lb 12oz
