Diss and District Angling Club

Diss and District Angling Club nothing beats the feeling of a tight line Diss and District Angling Club, is centred around the South Norfolk and North Suffolk area of East Anglia.

D.D.A.C is a thriving club which caters for every level of angling , whether you like big carp fishing or bashing out a few silvers, there is always a challenge to be had. D.D.A.C has control over the fishing rights to the Mere in the centre of Diss. The Mere is a lovely water which hold carp to over 20lb as well as a good head of small carp which can be great fun on the pole or waggler. The club

also has the use of two pits at Tunmores fishery in Norfolk and Yaxley lake in Yaxley Village. We at Diss control over 5 miles of the River Waveney, from Scole bridge down to Brockdish. Membeship can be obtained through Diss Angling Centre on Victoria rd in Diss.

This Sundays planned match at Thorpe Abbotts is now longer going ahead due to a double booking.

We are looking to move to Diss Mere with an early 6.30am draw. This will be depending on numbers so please book it via this post or message Ben Wilby as Steve Edwards is on holiday

Todays match was at Thornham Lakes.

Bill Mallsters took the win from peg 7 with a weight of 35lb 11oz

Chris Sykes was 2nd on peg 2 with 19lb 11oz

3rd place went to Brandon Jarvis fishing only his 2nd match just behind with 18lb 15oz

***Junior Matches***

This Thursday was the last of the junior matches on Diss Mere. Another full house which is amazing to see. This has been the best summer in years for numbers with over 30 differnet juniors taking part over the 4 matches

This weeks was won by Taliyah Cambell from peg 19 with an impressive weight of 21lb 8oz which included nice tench and bream.

We just want to thank George and Keith for running the matches. They love to see the kids fishing and they love to help. Thanks to all the other helpers, parents and to everyone who donated fishing gear which has really helped the juniors start their fishing journey.

All ther fishing is banned whilst the match is on. Please dont turn up and try to fish unless booked into the match.
