Stop overcomplicating fat loss

If you want to succeed you need to keep things simple and there’s only 3 things you need to focus on to achieve the physique you want

1. Controlling your calories we all know that

2. Hitting a Protein target to help you full and on track with your calories

3. A step target to increase your movement and deepen the calorie deficit without putting too much strain on your body

Here’s exactly what to do if you want to get lean and muscular

If you have body fat to lose then you need to lose it first because going straight into a bulk will cause you to gain some fat anyway so strip it all down and have a longer time to build while staying in a good condition

Once lean you can build for months up until you have built a lot more muscle and body fat is still in a good position

Then strip that body fat back off again and reveal all the new muscle you have build giving you a bigger and leaner physique

Special shoutout today!

In just 11 weeks Holly has completely transformed her physique. She joined the my first ever 12 week transformation challenge after trying multiple types of diets in the past.

We haven’t even finished yet but after she sent me her latest progress photos yesterday I wanted to make this post.

From day 1 she went mad with steps averaging about 18k a day and now pretty much lives in the gym! 😂

She’s been out most weekends for events that would have originally been holding her back from seeing progress but by sticking to the plan we set she’s continued to see the scales shoot down each week and has ultimately seen an unbelievable transformation.

Just found out she’s carrying on after the 12 weeks is up which I’m buzzing with and this is just the start.

When you are ready to change it becomes so much easier to get the results

Just over a year ago I had a call with Brad about signing up and at the last minute he decided not to

But just over 12 weeks ago he reached out again and said he’s ready so we got to work

And when I say from day 1 to 12 weeks later when these pictures were taken, he did not miss a day

All the non negotiables were nailed and even with work trips away, dinners out and social occasions we planned for them and it didn’t stall progress in the slightest

This transformation is insane and these pictures were taken just before he went on holiday in the shape of his life

Being ready to change and put the work in is so important with a physique transformation because you have to put the work in

When Brad gets back it’s a quick tidy up phase and then we are onto a building phase which is going to be insane and we will keep documenting his progress to see his physique blow up even more

It doesn’t matter how much body fat you need to lose to get to your end goal

Focus on the small wins

1 session at a time
1 day nailed on plan at a time
1kg at a time

Thinking long term all time can make the end result seem so far away which to be honest some times it can be because fat loss takes time.

Thinking about stacking your small wins along the way will help you get momentum and that will keep you going

So keep celebrating the small wins along the way and you do that enough times, you will reach your end goal 👊

Here’s why training your abs doing circuits isn’t going to help you build more muscle

You might get a good sweat on and feel the burn but they are still a muscle and you wouldn’t try and grow your chest doing a circuit

You would be lifting heavy and focussing on progressing your weights and reps so it’s the same with your abs if you want them to build

So here’s a couple of exercises to add to your program…
