Football at the grassroots level is tough, and with rising costs, administrative challenges, and difficulties in attracting players, the management team has exhausted all avenues and made the difficult decision to fold Hanging Heaton Football Club Saturday team.

We would like to thank all the players, sponsors, officials, and supporters who have been with us over the years.

It’s important to clarify we will still be operating two Sunday teams and our Veterans side

Our Sundays reserves are still on the look out for young players, if you have just finished your junior football -17/18 years old, we have a young team for you to come and join. First season in the open age for all of these players. They play Wakefield Sunday Leauge and the team is going to be run by Neil pickles.

Anybody interested please message.

We also have a Saturday team if anyone fancies both.

As a set up next season will be our 4th season under the current management and lads who help. We’re looking for new players to come and join us, we play in the 4th division of the Yorkshire amateur leauge on a Saturday, kick off 2pm.

We also have 2 Sunday teams now, firsts and reserves, reserves will be a team of 18 year old lads who have all played their junior football and going into their first season of open age competition.

If you fancy training with us when pre- season begins don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Tough game yesterday against a much improved opposition. Had plenty chances to put game to bed but a dubious penalty meant the points were shared.

Back in action today after a few week off, delayed due to weather. Should be at home but game has been reversed. Hoping to get back on track.

Sorry for the delay everyone, but here are you winning numbers for this years hampers. Thanks to everyone who took part. We raised £540 this year. Which all went to our former player Joe Pygott. Hope this helps mate and speedy recovery.
