Great news! We are up and ready to go 💪

Training for the D&D Select Team will commence over the Easter break with a mini camp, before progressing into weekly sessions. This is an exciting step as we bring the selected squad together and begin preparations in earnest.

We are delighted to have the team now training as a group ahead of what promises to be a fantastic tournament, with the very best players in Ireland coming together in the first week of June.

Looking forward to the journey ahead and getting to work! 🔥

We are absolutely delighted to share the list of the 18 girls selected for the 2026 D&D Select Squad!

A huge congratulations to each and every one of these players on such a fantastic achievement. Your hard work, dedication, and performances throughout the trial process have truly stood out.

We have also selected 7 additional players who will form our Standby Panel. These players may be called upon should any changes arise — and earning a place on this list is a significant accomplishment in itself. Well done girls! 👏

We would like to take this opportunity to recognise how outstanding all of the girls have been throughout the trial process. The level of talent on display was exceptional and is a real credit to their families and local clubs👏

The quality we witnessed reflects the tremendous work being done at club level — thank you to all coaches, volunteers, and supporters who continue to develop the girls’ game⚽️

To the parents and guardians — thank you sincerely for your continued support. It plays a vital role in creating these opportunities and helping the girls thrive.

⚽️Incredible Effort from All D&D U14 Players at Gaynor Cup Trials 👏⚽️

Massive congratulations to all D&D U14 players who completed the final week of trials today for the 2026 Gaynor Cup squad – and to the wider group of players who have shown fantastic commitment since week one.

A heartfelt thank you to all our local grassroots clubs for supporting this brilliant opportunity for the girls. Every player involved has been a true credit to their clubs, their coaches, and their families 👏

The coaches now have the extremely difficult task of selecting the final 18 for the 2026 squad, with the overall standard across the trials being nothing short of outstanding.

Providing and supporting opportunities like this is so important for the continued growth of girls’ football in our area, so thank you again to all clubs for your ongoing support 👏 you are doing an excellent job.

⚽ D&D Select U14 Trials – An Exciting Journey Begins! ⚽

Sunday 11th January saw the D&D Select Team coaches kick off the U14 Select trials, starting an exciting pathway for players hoping to represent the D&D on one of the biggest stages in youth football.

These trials will help form the squad travelling to Limerick to compete in the prestigious Gaynor Cup, where the very best young players from across Ireland — and beyond — come together. Being nominated by your club for these trials is a huge achievement, and every player involved should be extremely proud. Thank you to all clubs supporting this great opportunity.

The talent on show on Sunday was outstanding. It was brilliant to see so many clubs across the D&D League represented, with players giving everything and showcasing the quality that exists right across our league 👏⚽

🙌What a way to start the new year! 🎉

We’re delighted to announce the trial dates for the D&D U14 Select Team for 2026.

This select team will travel to Limerick for a week to compete in the prestigious FAI Gaynor Cup. The tournament attracts teams of an exceptional standard from across Ireland and beyond, making it a fantastic opportunity for our girls to showcase their talent, commitment, and love for the game. This tournament will be one to remember for the girls.

Our very first select team travelled in 2025, and this incredible group of girls represented our district with pride. They were a credit to their clubs, their families, and to D&D as a whole.

Now, we’re preparing to do it all again!
