So our last game of the season and our last game as Spondon Dynamos finished with a 2-2 draw with Toton. Was a fitting end to the season with the boys putting in a solid performance showing great teamwork throughout against a good side.

2 great goals from Thomas was a reward for all his hard work this season.

MOTM was Carter who had to make some crucial saves throughout the game and proves we are going to miss him and Aston as they move on to pastures new and we wish them all the best on their footballing journey.

Credit to all the boys for putting in the work for what has been another great season.

A 7 goal thriller at the racecourse between two sides who gave everything in a tightly contested game

A bright start from the boys using the space in our own half well allowed us to create chances for our front three.
Toto took his 1st chance well to put us in front, an he didnt let up there, 5 minutes later his skill an pace found him rounding the keeper only to be brought down.
Despite missing the resulting penalty heads didnt drop, we grabbed a 2nd just after ht an the opposition where forced to alter tactics.

Two quick fire goals from Mickleover including a very debatable penalty, heads could easily of dropped but these boys are showing there resilience.
Add to that there know-how on when to play out through carter, aston,Jack, Charlie & harry into alfie and Zak or to be more direct over the press into haaland(tom), toto, kai the game swung back into our favour, thomas put us ahead only for Mickleover to bounce back again.
It was then left to man of the match thomas to deservedly grab the winner 5 minutes before the end.

Man of the match - thomas, must be a nightmare for defenders to play against, does everything and more thats needed from a striker and got himself 3 goals including the winner.

In a thrilling encounter, Spondon Dynamos faced Chesapeake in a match that showcased both skillful play and dramatic turns.

In the first half Spondon came out strong, establishing dominance right from the kickoff. Their fluid passing and cohesive teamwork were evident, leading to an impressive display of football.

Kai opened the scoring with a well-placed shot after a slick build-up, putting Spondon ahead early.
Toto doubled the lead, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Chesapeake.

Chesapeake managed to pull one back, but at halftime, Spondon led 2-1, thanks to their relentless attacking and solid defense.

The second half took a surprising turn half way in. Despite their positive momentum, Spondon faced two critical errors in quick succession.

A miscommunication in defense allowed Chesapeake to equalize, shifting the momentum.
Shortly after, another mistake led to Chesapeake taking the lead, leaving Spondon stunned.

Despite their efforts to regroup, Spondon struggled to regain control of the match, ultimately falling short.

MOTM Zak Banks for another top performance in centre mid but the award could have gone to anyone with another great footballing performance just coming up short.

Match report ⚽️⚽️

Sickness and injuries meant we were down to the bare minimum of players this morning against blue tigers. A team we hadn't faced this season.

The opening 15 minutes were we were penned into our own half an it was looking like a long morning until the boys rememberd we can be a decent passing side and started to play out, to gain some success, Zak in particular linking up well with the back 3 of harry, charlie and aston, and alfies tenacity breaking up play well, which made for a well balanced competitive game between two physical sides,

2nd half we had a lot more attacking intent, tom was relentless in his dual with physical defenders linking up brilliantly with our midfield and we went one up from a well taken goal from Zak after bursting from midfield.
The opposition had chances and carter made some good saves to add to the quality he possessed with his distribution to keep us in the lead.
Toto showed some great individual skill inside the last 10mins and finished it off superbly to make sure of the win.

Although there was time with the last kick of the game for jack to expertly slice a shot into his own top corner to make the game 2-1, which was a shame after a solid performance from himself.

In a thrilling contest, Spondon triumphed over Belper with a 2-1 victory, showing great teamwork.

We started well and controlled the first 15 minutes and immediately taking charge. Zak scored with a free kick giving us an early 1-0 lead. His influence was felt throughout the half as he controlled the midfield, distributing the ball effectively with Alfie and the rest of the team breaking up Belper's plays.

Belper did not back down and came back into it after we made a few changes but we managed to get to half time 1-0 up.

The second half saw Belper come out with renewed determination. After some pressure they capitalised on a bad clearance and a shot from outside the box got them level at 1-1.

We made some changes to settle us down and Tom came back on to work really hard and create a handful of chances but wasn’t looking like it would come off for him but he got his rewards and made it 2-1.

We got back to dominating in midfield with Zak orchestrating plays and thwarting Belper’s attempts to regain control. His performance not only earned him the Player of the Match award but also showcased his vital role in our strategy.

Belper fought hard for an equalizer, creating a couple of opportunities, but Spondon’s defense, led by Harry, Jack and a returning Harry N from injury stood resolute, ensuring we held onto our lead.

Overall a good performance from the team against a side we always have a good battle against.

We will take the win onto next week but still have plenty to work on in training.

Our usual suspects Wednesday camera man was helping out with training last night so these few clips will have to do for today 😂 however the boys worked hard and we started a kick up challenge that this week, Aston won… hope the boys are practicing this week ⚽️⚽️
