Race report darley moor with the acu ultra lightweight championship

Qualifying 4th overall 1st in class
Race 1 4th overall 1st in class
Race 2 4th overall 1st in class

With some mixed conditions again we had great weekend. Loved racing at my home circuit with its usual unpredictable weather. Was a bit of lonely races mainly with not having the power of other classes to keep with front of main race and bit better pace than others in my class but enjoyed being out there showing my potential. Race 2 was wet at start where I managed to hang on to faster class with a lot better corner speed which meant I could stick on to them until the straights but as track started to dry they picked there pace up, unfortunate for me as was hoping for more rain so could try take the p1 overall with having great confidence in the wet. Overall really happy with the results.

Bit of bike prep tonight, nearly ready for this weekend racing at darley moor with the acu ultra lightweight, with the gearbox issue last time out another engine brought to get us out this weekend, big thanks to SP Service and Repair Ltd for sorting that making sure we can be out on track

Delayed race report freetech round darley moor

Qualifying 8th
Race 1 5th
Race 2 7th
Race 3 11th

My first time racing at darley moor, think had every weather type possible on the day, rain, wind, hail, snow and sun. Made it interesting I suppose.

Race 1, reasonable start from the grid, running in my qualifying position until the weather drastically changed with rain and hail but I kept my cool and rode the same which worked to my advantage and managed to climb up to 5th position

Race 2, had a good start running in 5th position for the whole race until the last lap where I made slight mistake running wide on the hairpin which unfortunately let 2 riders past and no way back for me to pass them so finished 7th

Race 3, had reasonable start and kept position for a few laps but as the race went on was struggling with gears (possible gearbox issue) carried on best I could and ended with 11th place finish.

Overall had good day racing progressing laptimes each outing. Great to see the support from family, friends and sponsors at the track.

Bike all prepped ready for the 2nd round of freetech junior race series this weekend at Darley Moor, this will be my first race around the Darley circuit where I have spent a lot of time with family and friends racing there so really looking forward to racing there myself

Managed to get couple sessions in this afternoon, riding with my cousin Charlie Pearson on his cbr 125, Joshua Allen-douce enjoying his first time on a pitbike and even my dad decided to squeeze into his leathers for a ride out, nice to be out on circuit with these, did have a slight man down but got to find the limit sometimes especially if it’s chasing my dad down 🤣🤣 feeling good ready for the 2nd round of freetech at darley moor next weekend

Bit of practice today with my cousin, unfortunately his 125 wasn’t quite ready to go out so used the pitbike, typical pitbike played up so he didn’t get much time, good to be back on track together though. Thankyou to my uncle Shane SP Service and Repair Ltd for taking me whilst dad at work
