🏆 FIRST EVER COMPETITIVE WIN! 🏆

ALVASTON FC 2–1 SPARTA DERBY RESERVES

What a day for The Alvaston Forza! 💜⚽

In our first ever competitive game as a football club, Alvaston FC have secured our first ever competitive victory and what a way to do it!

A massive 2–1 win in the Bob Ellerington Cup against a strong and physical Sparta Derby Reserves side.

This is more than just a result. This is a milestone.

From starting this club and building it from the ground up, to stepping onto the pitch for our first competitive fixture, and now walking away with our first ever competitive win it’s a moment everyone involved with Alvaston FC can be proud of.

It was a hard-fought, aggressive and exciting game from start to finish. There were challenges, battles, pressure and plenty of intensity, but the lads showed tremendous character, determination and togetherness.

Every player put in a shift. Everyone contributed. Nobody stopped working.

And ultimately, the result was fully deserved. 👏

🏆 Bob Ellerington Cup — Round One

THE WAIT IS OVER.⚽️

Alvaston Football Club finally begin our first official competitive campaign this Sunday as we welcome Sparta Derby Reserves in the First Round of the Bob Ellerington Cup.

After everything we have put into building this club, we are excited to finally step onto the pitch and compete officially.

There will be ups. There will be downs. There will be challenges. But whatever comes our way this season, we will keep pushing, keep learning and keep moving forward together.

The whole squad is excited.
The club is ready.

2026/27 SEASON — SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT 🔥

The wait is finally over.

After a long road of preparation, training, recruitment and preseason, we are excited to officially announce our Alvaston Football Club squad for the 2026/27 season.

This squad represents the next chapter of the club. A group of players ready to compete, develop and represent the badge together.

More players are still to be registered, but we are already looking at a strong squad with plenty of quality, competition and character throughout.

From the first whistle to the final whistle, the objective remains the same:

We are excited to get back on the pitch as we face Ockbrook FC again in our second meeting against them.

With the new season beginning soon, this pre-season friendly is another opportunity for us to prepare, build chemistry and continue developing as a team. Every game gives us a chance to improve, learn and put our work on the training pitch into action.

After our friendly against Derby Athletic was unfortunately cancelled due to injuries, The Alvaston Forza are excited to be back out on the pitch this Sunday for another important pre-season test.

We take on Wilmot Arms FC reserves as we continue building towards the new season, welcoming new trialists, and growing stronger together with every game.

WE ARE EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF LAUNCHING A SATURDAY FIRST TEAM.

As part of our long-term vision for Alvaston Football Club, we are looking to speak with passionate and committed individuals who may be interested in becoming our Saturday First Team Manager.

This is not a confirmed team for next season, but we are beginning the process early to find the right person to help build something special should the club expand into Saturday football.

We are looking for someone who:
⚽ Shares our values.
⚽ Can recruit and develop players.
⚽ Is organised, reliable and committed.
⚽ Is willing to complete the required FA courses.
⚽ Wants to help build a football club, not just manage a team.

A huge milestone in the history of Alvaston Football Club.

We are proud to announce that Alvaston FC is now officially affiliated with Derbyshire County FA and we will be competing in the Derby Sunday Football League League Two for the 2026/27 season.

What started as an idea has become a reality through hard work, commitment and the support of everyone who has believed in this journey.

This is only the beginning.

To our players, staff, supporters and everyone who has backed the club from day one thank you. Your support has helped us reach this moment, and we can’t wait to represent our community throughout the season ahead.

Now the real work begins.
