We’re really pleased to welcome Summer Clark to Dog Sports Derby for a series of training dates this October, November and December.

Summer brings a huge amount of experience as both a competitor and trainer:

Bronze Medal Finalist at the European Open 2025
Team GB handler
Agility Champion with her current competing dog, Arrow
YKC Agility Dog of the Year winner at Crufts 2024
Competed at Crufts for 10 consecutive years

Summer is known for her consistency, positive attitude and honest, thoughtful approach to training. She focuses on understanding why something is or isn’t working, helping handlers build reliable skills and giving you plenty to take away and continue working on after the session.

🐾 DOG SPORTS DERBY OPEN DAY – TODAY! 🐾

We’re nearly ready to welcome you to Dog Sports Derby!

📅 TODAY – Saturday 5th September | 5pm–9pm
📅 TOMORROW – Sunday 6th September | 9am–3pm

Members AND non-members are very welcome!

⏰ YOU DON’T NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE START!

There’s no set arrival time or need to be here for 5pm today or 9am tomorrow. Turn up whenever suits you during our opening hours and stay for as long – or as little – as you like.

Come for a couple of runs, spend some time looking around, grab some food, browse the sale or stay for the whole session – it’s entirely up to you!

🐕 COME AND RUN YOUR DOG

We’ve set up TWO courses in our outdoor rings ready for you:

🐾 Ring 1 – Agility Course
🐾 Ring 2 – Jumping Course

💷 £5 for 2 runs

This is NOT a competition – your runs won’t be timed for results. Instead, you’ll have 90 seconds in each ring to use however suits you and your dog best.

Run the full course, train a particular section or work on something you've been struggling with – it’s completely up to you!

👟 There will be regular course walks throughout the sessions, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get into the rings, walk the courses and decide what you want to do before your time in the ring.

We’ll alternate between jump heights throughout the sessions, so if we’re currently on a different height, we just ask you to be patient while we work our way round. 😊
Want more runs? No problem – you can purchase additional runs.

🎟️ Our very helpful assistant Henry will be taking payment for the runs – cash or card. He’ll give you a ticket, which you’ll need to hand in before your run.

☕ OUR CAFÉ WILL BE OPEN!

Come hungry! We’ll have:

A quick update ahead of our Galican Stock Sale at Dog Sports Derby this weekend.

Since originally advertising the sale, we have made the decision to remove the following equipment from sale as it has now been allocated for use at an event:

These items will therefore NOT be available to purchase this weekend.

We expect that they will most likely become available again as part of an online equipment sale from October onwards, and we’ll post further details nearer the time.
