I’m gonna start a diet Monday…
I’m gonna join the gym after Christmas…
I’m gonna buy some random bit of fitness equipment that I saw on my socials on payday…
I’m going back to that fitness class I haven’t been to for 6 months when the kids go back to school…
Sound familiar? 😂
The truth is, you probably don’t need another fresh start.
You need consistency.
You don’t need a house full of fancy fitness equipment that’s eventually going to become a clothes horse 🤣
Grab a couple of decent sets of dumbbells — adjustable ones are even better — find workouts you actually enjoy and aim to do them 3–4 times a week.
🚶♀️ Get your steps in more often than not.
💧 Drink your water.
🍽️ Track your calories — YES, even at the weekends.
🏋️♀️ Do some resistance training.
🥂 And still have a life!
You might not need to track forever, but give yourself a good few months of actually being consistent with it. That’s how you start to see where things are going wrong and, more importantly, what actually works for YOU.
There are no miracles when it comes to fat loss.
Slimming World. Intermittent fasting. WW. SlimFast. GLP-1s.
They may all help people in different ways, but ultimately fat loss still requires a calorie deficit.
Where so many people go wrong is trying to change EVERYTHING overnight.
Suddenly it’s 1,000 calories a day, no carbs, no wine, gym every day and 15,000 steps…
Then four days later you’re knackered, starving and thinking you’ve “failed” again.
You haven’t failed. You just chose a plan you were never going to be able to stick to.
Start smaller.
Do the boring basics.
Do them consistently.
And give them TIME.
If you’d like some help and support doing exactly that, my next Fat Loss Foundations intake starts 1st November — perfect timing to get some solid habits in place and head into Christmas feeling fantastic ❤️
Message me if you’d like the details.
Be consistent. No more starting over.
Abi ❤️
