EXCITING NEWS: The Ravens are very proud to announce their affiliation to Dartmouth AFC

Along with the recent affiliation of Dartmouth Swifts Football to the Historic Dartmouth Club, these affiliations will lead to a complete girls to ladies pathway within the Devon FA.

All good things come to those who wait, says the Guinness ad from the 90’s, and we certainly have been propping up the bar, waiting!

We got our first win last night and what a fantastic game it was. We played 80 mins due to light, and both teams agreed to drop to a 9 v 9 due to pitch availability. A fantastically competitive match. Both sides worked hard and it was great viewing, by all accounts.

Our coaches player of the match goes to Caz who was tireless on LB, holding the back line well and pushing up field when the opportunity arose. Welldone Caz! Player’s player to be announced later…

We’re playing Poison Ivies again Friday! It’ll be a shorter game at the Academy due to light but we’re looking forward to it. The squad is down on numbers but we’ll work hard and see what we can produce!

So it’s been a busy Summer break but it’s back to posting and keeping you all up to date with Ravens news!

We had a very challenging game back in early August against Elburton Villa ladies ! It really did test our resolve but we stuck together and the important thing is that we all worked hard, gained more match experience and made some great connections along the way.

Many thanks to Elburton Villa for coming to visit us and Dartmouth AFC for hosting at Longcross.

We keep going, building for the future of girls and Women’s football in our local area.
