Most boxers make the mistake of turning every conditioning session into a fight.

You don’t need to train until you’re exhausted to improve your gas tank. The goal is to build conditioning that transfers to boxing while staying fresh enough to train skill, speed and power.

Work hard. Recover harder. The adaptations happen when you recover not when you bury yourself into the ground.

Most boxers don’t need to train like powerlifters.

I prefer the trap bar deadlift because it allows a more upright torso, reduces unnecessary stress on the lower back and has a stronger transfer to athletic performance.

The goal isn’t to lift the most weight. The goal is to become a faster, more explosive boxer.
