Today I write this as we face several ends of eras…
📝 This past week has brought a few big moments. My youngest daughter has finished her GCSEs and, as a parent, you realise it doesn’t just impact her — it impacts us too.
🐱 Then, our children’s childhood cat passed away this week… another end of an era and a piece of their childhood gone.
💔 Our daughter’s first serious relationship came to an end this weekend. As parents, we always want the very best for our children, and it’s hard watching them go through heartbreak.
🏥 And then there’s my own big moment. After 25 years in the NHS, following a path I’ve truly loved, I’m now facing an end of an era myself. Due to the current NHS climate, along with my health and the need for amended duties, things are changing in ways I hadn’t planned.
✨️Endings can bring sadness, uncertainty, fear of the unknown… but also new beginnings. As a Christian, I choose to place my trust in God — believing that He will open new doors and guide me into the next era of my life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11.
