Next Wednesday our T20 side host Waltham in what is always a challenging affair. Skipper will be trying to outsmart the Waltham selection lottery, a club seemingly armed with a phone book-sized squad list featuring over 100 players spread across 98 different Saturday teams.

Pinning down their XI may prove harder than chasing 180 second innings but one thing is guaranteed it’ll be competitive, unpredictable, and probably decided by whichever mystery all-rounder appears for his only game of the season.

The 1st XI secured a dominant victory against Hornchurch Athletic, winning by 196 runs. Half-centuries from JC and Shane helped set up the impressive total, while the wickets were shared around nicely among the bowlers in a strong all-round performance.

The 2nd XI fell to a 3-wicket defeat away at Belhus. Vibes starred with an outstanding unbeaten 124*, but the bowling attack struggled to contain the scoring, conceding 41 extras and finding it difficult to break key partnerships and stem the flow of runs.

The 3rd XI showed plenty of promise in a convincing win, with old man Livett making 87 during a superb 100-run partnership with Alf.

Kit #1
So our first bleed kit of 5, paid for by the quiz night we held, and donations from our friends at the JP8 Charitable Trust has been donated to the Ahava Community charity.

This kit will be carried by the mobile outreach team, who travel all over the local area, trying to help the homeless and rough sleepers The Liam Taylor Legacy - RIP Fish
