Despite an afternoon downpour; we had a great day at the north somerset show on bank holiday Monday....everyone loves looking at the teardrops and there are already a few sales as we enter into spring..... Hopefully it has finally sprung and we can all get to enjoy some well deserved sunshine.... Maybe even from the comfort of a teardrop ;-)

An amended Turtle 1500.....looks fab!! well done Malcolm!

Here is our teardrop shortly after purchase, a Turtle 1500. We have since removed the huge solar panel from the roof replacing it with a smaller flexible panel that fits the recess designed for it, though clearly gives a lower output. we have also removed the VW badge that the previous owner had applied to the rear and replaced this with the Turtle logo that the manufacturers sent us from Turkey (at a price) which really improves her. We have also applied decals to the side panels to break up the large black surface. The interior we have fitted with a dvd player andTV so have all of the creature comforts plus a small tube heater for those cold winter nights, though she is very warm and comfy without the heater. looking forward to our first trip away

To steal a line from Game of Thrones....'Winter is coming'; but here are 4 reasons why Teardrops are still awesome in these months....
1) Being Small - you can get your trailer into just about any spot - hide from that rain and wind!
2) Keeping a small space warm is a lot easier than heating a massive caravan!
3) Being lightweight...if you get stuck in the mud you can push yourself out!
4) Finally - no matter what it sure beats sleeping in a cold tent!

This Canadaian Company have gone to a whole new level with our teeny tiny Teardrops! Awesome!

Canadian company Safari Condo has recently released the Alto R 1713 and R 1723 recreational campers. Both travel trailers are lightweight and boast an aerodynamic teardrop shape, which makes towing them easy and accessible.

Amazing little creation.......oh the things you can do with Lego and a spare few hours!!

The teardrop shape is super cute, but it's the interior that really outdoes itself.
