⚽ CUBBINGTON ALBION U13s 3–2 NUNEATON TOWN U13s ⚽

What a way to kick off life in the next tier! 💙

The lads came up against a Nuneaton Town side who finished 3rd in the division last season, but despite only just being promoted, Albion showed they belong at this level!

Three goals, three points and one massive team performance! 👊

Even more impressive considering the lads went into the game without a single pre-season match under their belts. You wouldn’t have known it! Every player gave absolutely everything, battled from start to finish and showed fantastic attitude, teamwork and determination.

It wasn’t easy, but the boys dug deep and held on for a brilliant 3–2 victory against a very strong side. 💪

A HUGE well done to every single one of the lads! 👏👏

⚽️ Cubbington Albion U13 2–2 Central Ajax U13 ⚽️

A positive start for the new-look Albion! 💙

The first game of the season for our new-look Cubbington Albion U13s, with six new faces joining the team this season, and there was plenty to be encouraged about.

Albion started brightly and took a deserved 1–0 lead through a fantastic strike from Dylan. The boys defended really well to hold onto the lead and went into half-time 1–0 up. 👏

Still getting to know each other, the boys continued to play some fantastic football in the second half, creating attack after attack. Unfortunately, Central Ajax managed to break through and find the equaliser to make it 1–1.

Albion responded brilliantly. After some great build-up play, new boy Rohan finished off a lovely move to put Albion back in front at 2–1. ⚽️👏

Ajax then produced a strike from range that, unfortunately, gave our keeper absolutely no chance and brought the score level at 2–2.

Albion pushed hard for the winner right until the final whistle. Two chances narrowly missed the target, while the Ajax keeper produced two excellent saves to keep the scores level.

A really good performance from a team playing their first game together, with plenty of positives to take forward.

With players still getting to know each other and some boys having been away during pre-season, there were some fantastic passages of football and a real glimpse of what this team can achieve.

Plenty to build on, plenty to be proud of, and plenty more to come! 💙⚽️

After what feels like a long summer, we can’t wait to get back into it and see all our Cubbington Albion teams back out on the pitch! 🙌

Good luck to every single one of our teams this season — work hard, enjoy your football, support each other and most importantly, have fun! 💪⚽️

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Cubbington Albion U12s saved the best until last! 💙⚽

After a busy summer tournament season, the boys have finally got their hands on some silverware at the Belvedere Tournament!

This summer, the team entered four tournaments, reaching three finals and one semi-final. After coming so close on previous occasions, they finally got the trophy their efforts deserved.

The Belvedere Tournament was our biggest challenge yet. The lads made the 1 hour 30 minute journey to compete against 32 teams, with three trophies up for grabs. They came up against some very strong opposition, including MJPL teams featuring academy players, but they never looked out of place.

In the group stages, the boys:
✅ Won 1
🤝 Drew 3
❌ Lost the remaining games to teams who went on to win the other cups.

Finishing 6th overall meant a place in the Conference League knockout stages—and that’s where this team really showed what they’re made of!

⚽ Quarter-final: Won 1-0
⚽ Semi-final: Won on penalties
🏆 Final: Won on penalties

A massive congratulations to every single player. Every boy played their part throughout the day, showing determination, teamwork and resilience.

A special mention has to go to our goalkeeper Fred, who was the hero in the final. Standing tall under pressure, he saved 2 out of 3 opposition penalties, meaning all we had to do was score our two—which we did! 🧤👏

What a way to finish the summer tournament season. The boys truly saved the best until last.

🏆 Kineton Tournament – Runners-Up 🏆

Another fantastic day for Cubbington Albion U12s at the Kineton Tournament, with the boys producing a superb team performance from start to finish.

The lads topped their league with an unbeaten record, collecting 17 points from a possible 21, winning 5 games and drawing 2 to book their place in the knockout stages. Even more impressively, they didn’t concede a single goal throughout the entire tournament, a testament to the outstanding work rate and organisation of the whole squad.

The boys then put in another excellent display in the semi-final, beating Central Ajax to reach the final against Lawford Blues.

The final was one-way traffic for long spells, with Albion spending virtually the entire game in the Lawford half. They came agonisingly close to lifting the trophy, hitting both the post and the crossbar, but somehow couldn’t find the breakthrough. The game finished goalless, meaning it had to be decided by penalties.

Both goalkeepers made some outstanding saves in the shootout, with only three penalties finding the net. Unfortunately, Albion could only convert one, meaning Lawford Blues edged the shootout to take the trophy.

It was a cruel way to lose after such a dominant performance, but the boys should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. To go through the entire tournament without conceding a goal and reach yet another final says everything about this group of players. Their commitment, teamwork and resilience continue to shine, and while they were unlucky not to bring home the silverware this time, they’ve once again done the club proud.

Well done, lads. Keep your heads high—you’ve been brilliant. 💙⚽👏

A Tournament to Be Proud Of! 💙⚽

A fantastic effort from our Cubbington Albion U12s today!

The boys finished 2nd in their group, with a brilliant record of:

* ✅ 2 wins
* 🤝 2 draws
* ❌ Just 1 defeat

That earned them a place in the semi-finals, where they faced a very strong Tier 1 Rugby side. Despite the difference in divisions, the boys gave everything and narrowly lost by just 2 goals to a team that went on to win the entire tournament.

Considering we’re competing in Tier 5, this was an outstanding achievement and a real testament to the hard work, determination and team spirit shown by every player.

Heads held high, boys—you’ve done the club proud. The future is bright! 💙👏⚽

⚽❤️ Happy Father’s Day from everyone at Cubbington Albion! ❤️⚽

Today, we celebrate all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who stand on the sidelines in all weathers, cheer the loudest, offer words of encouragement after every match, and are always there with lifts to training, muddy kit bags and endless support.

Thank you for every early morning, every post-match chat, every piece of advice and every moment you spend helping our young players enjoy the beautiful game.

We hope you all have a fantastic Father’s Day and know just how much you’re appreciated by our players, coaches and club community.

⚽️ Cubbington Albion U12s – Tysoe Tournament Report ⚽️

What a fantastic day for Cubbington Albion U12s at the Tysoe Tournament today!

The boys put in an outstanding performance throughout the group stage, winning 5 games and drawing 1, remaining unbeaten to secure their place in the final coming first in the league with 16 points from a possible 18.

Along the way, they came up against teams that regularly compete in Tier 1 and Tier 2 football, yet the Albion boys — who play in Tier 4 on Saturdays and Tier 5 on Sundays — more than held their own, producing some brilliant performances and recording some impressive victories.

After a superb tournament run, they reached the final where they faced Racing Club Warwick. Despite giving everything they had, the boys were narrowly beaten 1-0, finishing as runners-up.

To compete with and beat teams from much higher divisions is a testament to the hard work, determination, and team spirit shown by every player. On an extremely hot day, the effort, attitude, and quality displayed by the squad were exceptional from start to finish.

A huge well done to all the players, coaches, and supporters. You should all be incredibly proud of what you achieved today. 💙⚽
