It would have been pretty cool marketing if I'd started putting Wild Hunt practices up on eventbrite a month ago and could have said "come to a practice on the night of the full hunter's moon", but alas.
Instead, I get to invite you to the 4th of November, the night of the uuhh..
The 99% Waxed Beaver Moon, apparently.

Come join us at our regular Tuesday Morris Dancing practice session. No experience necessary, a welcoming crowd and a fantastic instructor.

Wild Hunt are under new management!

First of all, enormous thanks to our outgoing officers, to our fantastic Reeve Chris, and to Paul, our hardworking Lord of the Wildwood for some 21 years, who will be staying on in the role of Green Man.

Filling these mighty boots, we have:

-Rosie Mott taking a sideways promotion from Herald to become the new Lord of the Wildwood
-Leo Samson as the new Herald
-The incomparable David Somner stepping in as Reeve, and reviving the role of Enlightener to whip us into dancing shape

Outside of the new officers, this year has given us a bumper crop of new blood among the dancers. There has never been a better time to drop by and join a practice if you want to catch the start of a new chapter.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday, and to those who got waylaid by the overground issues, we hope you had a lovely evening nonetheless! We loved dancing with you and showing you our lovely dances!

If you want to see us in-action we are dancing out next Tuesday, starting at 6:30 outside the Ludoquist, and making our way up Surrey Street. If you're a photographer we know this will be an atmospheric one, with lovely contrast between our kit and the urban centre of Croydon, so do join us!

Our next practice is not for a little bit (we need to have our AGM!) but we will be happily welcoming anyone who is keen to join us on Tuesday 15th October 8-10pm

Come along, try something different, and light up your darkening evenings with dance.
