Happy Pancake Day
🥞 I make pancakes often, but for some reason I still get very excited around pancake day.
Did you know that over 60% of UK Shoppers rely on a pre-made pancake mix? 😭 as someone who is massively passionate about sharing simple ways to switch to eating whole foods and cutting down the ultra processed foods, this shocked me! 😭
Unlike premade mixes, which are packed full of refined grains, seed oils, sugary syrups, and artificial ingredients that can cause inflammation and blood sugar spikes, making pancakes from scratch isn't just more satisfying – it puts you in control of what goes into your body! 🥞🍓🫐
Here is a simple recipe to get you started ..
🥞 50g cup Flour (I use oat flour)
🥞 1 Egg
🥞 300ml Milk (I use oat or almond)
🥞 1 scoop Arbonne Protein (optional, good way to get your protein in!)
Mix all together and I use a little coconut oil in a hot pan 🥥
This recipe makes about 6 med size thick or thin pancakes - I usually double it (at least! for us 4)
I love my pancakes topped with Greek Yoghurt and fruit 🍓🫐🍋
