A huge congratulations to every player in the squad for everything they’ve contributed throughout the season. Every individual played their part both on and off the pitch, helping make this team what it is.

The season comes to an end for the U11 Panthers and U12 Tigers, both teams who saw so much progress over the past year. The U11 Panthers have taken their first season in their stride developing and progressing as a team, and the U12 Tigers competed for the title right to the very last day of the seasons, missing out narrowly in the play-off. A massive feat in itself!

And that’s a wrap, with some words from coach Gary Whittington on yesterday’s performance.

“Well what can we say, a disappointing final result to a truly wonderful season, ending with a narrow loss to Haywards Heath. The team battled hard against an organised outfit but with energy levels down from Thursdays match, along with a very warm afternoon, we just fell short of our usual standards.

Great performances from all players, and it’s very difficult to single anyone out, however Elsa’s work rate and Camilla’s persistence stood out again.

⭐️ POTM - Phoebe Dier - what a season she’s had. Ever present, plays 90 minutes in most games, and she was an absolute rock yesterday, completing a very dogged defensive performance.”

We wait now to see how the final matches of the league pan out but what a fantastic debut season from everyone involved.

The chairman was delighted to present Sesi with the Supporters’ Player of the Season following her brace in Thursday evening’s fixture. Sesi has enjoyed a standout season on the wing, showcasing blistering pace that gives fullbacks nightmares and consistently working hard to support the defence. Certainly a fan favourite and a pleasure to watch and play alongside. Congratulations, Sesi!
