It's week 22, and the final team sheets of the season are in.

Let's enjoy the last games of 2026 and afterwards all are welcome to join us in the club. Lisa is putting on a BBQ, Stu will be on the vocals and no doubt our cricketers will be in fine voice too.

On Sunday we host two Palace Shield finals - u13s start at 10am and u17s at 2pm.

This Saturday, to mark the end of the 2026 cricket season, we have our very own Stu Blundell on guitar and with his fantastic vocals in the Club.

It’ll also be the last time at the Sports Club for our overseas Ty before he heads home to Australia.

Come down and watch our 2XI take on BAC/EE from 12.30 and then let’s sing and party the night away 🏏🍺🍻

After last week's washout we have 2 games this weekend and the weather's looking more promising. 🌞

The 1XI host Rufford whilst the 2XI make the short trip to promotion rivals Charnock St James. Due to the darker evenings matches start at 12.30.

The 1XI travel to Burscough but the 2XI have no game today

On Monday the Women and Girls' team are hosting Formby in a hardball friendly. It's meant to be Super 8s format but with so many wanting to play we've turned it into a 10 a side. The eagle eyed will spot Emily Weetman in the team who used to play on Saturdays - it's great to have you back Emily 🏏😊

Another busy week at Croston🏏

What a weekend it was for the 2nd XI, securing their 9th win in a row to keep them sitting comfortably in 2nd place in the league!

It was also a special one for Dan Ashcroft, returning to Croston and taking his first senior wickets for the club 👏

It was a tougher weekend for the 1st XI, who suffered a difficult loss. But with home advantage back on their side this week, we’ll be hoping to see them turn things around!

Lancashire Women take on Durham at Croston, 10:30am!

With us now being around halfway through the six-week summer holidays, we know keeping the kids entertained can start to get a little trickier! So, why not bring them down to Croston and watch some cricket? A great day out for all ages, with plenty of space to sit back on the patio, enjoy the cricket and soak up the atmosphere.

No Sun occultation could eclipse the incredible performance of our women and girls’ team in their first ever hardball game tonight.

We gave the talented players from Tarleton a run for their money and didn’t concede any wickets!

Thank you Tarleton Cricket Club for being so supportive of our team and also thanks to burscoughcc loans for helping out!

And we were bowled over to receive a commemorative match ball signed by the Tarleton players to mark the occasion.

Women’s cricket is going from strength to strength 🏏💪

Yes Colbs!

Congratulations to 17 year old Colby Tickle on taking his 100th senior wicket on Saturday.

Colby only started playing cricket as a teenager and impressed with his natural ability from day one. Hard working and committed, he quickly secured his place in the seconds before his fast bowling caught the eye of the first team, where he has been a regular for the last couple of seasons.

Can't wait to see how long it takes him to gain his second 100 wickets. Keep working hard and enjoying your cricket Colby!
