**MATCH REPORT**
Sunday 7th June Vs Cowie Colts
Another hard-fought game for the boys on Sunday, and very much a tale of two halves.
The team produced an excellent first-half performance, playing into a difficult wind while continuing to pass the ball with confidence and attack with real pace. Their efforts were rewarded with goals from Elis and Rory, who marked his first start for the team with a well-taken finish. Rory had come close just minutes earlier, rattling the post with another excellent effort.
Defensively, the boys were outstanding throughout. The back line worked tirelessly to keep Cowie at bay, showing great organisation, determination, and composure under pressure. Their hard work provided the platform for the team to play with confidence going forward.
The second half became a little scrappy at times, allowing Cowie a route back into the game. However, the boys responded superbly. Cason restored control with a fantastic strike from distance before Niven calmly converted two expertly taken penalties. With confidence growing, Elis went on to complete his hat-trick, while Ludo added his name to the scoresheet to round off an impressive team performance.
After a couple of challenging weeks, it was fantastic to see the boys respond in such a positive manner. Their attitude, teamwork, and resilience were evident from first whistle to last, and the result was thoroughly deserved.
