Christmas was for rest, food, family, laughs and switching off 💛
Now it’s time to gently switch back on.

No punishment.
No “burn it off” mentality.
Just moving your body, rebuilding routine and feeling strong again.

Tomorrow we start where we are — not where we think we should be.
You don’t need to be fitter, leaner or more motivated…
You just need to show up. I’ll handle the rest 💪

Now the kids are back in school hopefully some of you have more time for a bit of self care.
Fitness is as much about mental strength as physical. You may not feel as strong as at the start of the summer holidays but this is ok!
Getting back to it is the most important thing. Lift lighter, move slower - do whatever it takes. Make sure you have some patience and understand that setbacks are part of the journey. It wont take long to be back to your old self again. Then you can think about setting some new goals…….

Serotonin in your brain regulates your mood. It’s often called your body’s natural “feel good” chemical. When serotonin is at normal levels, you feel more focused, emotionally stable, happier and calmer.

This week I have kept myself moving and been surrounded by 32 clients doing 1:1 and/or group training who all bring a lovely energy and make me laugh. Added bonus of the sun being out today and my serotonin levels are flowing.

Feeling low? Go for a walk, hang your face out of the window to soak up some rays and contact that friend that makes you feel better 💗
