⛳ A BUSY WEEK AT CROOK GOLF CLUB 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

It’s been another busy week at Crook, with plenty happening both on and off the course.

🏆 Senior Pairs Open
A fantastic event saw 44 pairs take part. Congratulations to Bryan Foster & David Crawford, who took the title with an outstanding 47 points. A huge well done to all the winners and prize winners, and thank you to everyone who supported the competition.

☀️ Thursday Night Summer League
Congratulations to Gary Plews, winner of Week 12 with an excellent 24 points! A fantastic 32 players took part — thank you to everyone for your continued support.

🏌️‍♂️ Nerga/Rabbits Team
The team finished 6th at Oakdale, just five points behind 2nd place in a very tight competition. Paul Kelly was Crook’s top scorer with 34 points. With two fixtures remaining, the team remains 5th in the league with everything still to play for.

👏 Club Competitions
Our Seniors finished their final home game of the season with a narrow 2½–3½ defeat to Hobson, with two matches decided on the 18th.

The Ladies Sivewright Team also completed their season with a closely fought 3–2 defeat at home to Barnard Castle. Well done to all the ladies for their efforts throughout the season.

💪 Clark Cup
A huge effort from the men’s team against a very strong Eaglescliffe side, narrowly losing 2–3. Two matches went to extra holes, with one decided on the third and another only on the fifth extra hole. A tremendous effort from the team, who did Crook proud.

🌱 Course Update
The 4th green continues to recover as well as can be expected following the recent irrigation works. Our greenkeeping team continue to work incredibly hard in challenging warm and dry conditions. Despite the course drying out, the greens remain in immaculate condition — a credit to the dedication and hard work of the green staff.

👏 A big thank you to everyone who has represented Crook this week, supported our competitions and helped make the club such a busy and welcoming place.

⚠️ Important Notice ⚠️

A temporary green will be in play on the 4th this afternoon and tomorrow while irrigation work is carried out.

With the current weather I'm sure everyone can understand how important it is to have the irrigation working as best we can so this work is vital.

The 5th tees will also be moved to the beginning of the fairway while this work is carried out for staff safety.

⛳ Proud to be hosting the Durham County Championship Qualifier ⛳

Today, Crook Golf Club is delighted to welcome players, officials and supporters for the Durham County Championship Qualifier.

Hosting an event of this calibre is a real honour for our club and reflects the hard work that goes on behind the scenes throughout the year.

A huge thank you goes to our greenkeeping team for presenting the course in outstanding condition, and to the volunteers whose time and dedication help make days like this possible.

We are incredibly proud of our course, our club and everyone involved in showcasing Crook Golf Club to the wider golfing community.
