Crook Rangers 3-2 Bishop Hospital Club

Brilliant win this morning against a really good young footballing side in Bishop. The opposition had plenty of the ball but we looked dangerous on the counter and after a Evenly matched game throughout with both sides creating several chances it was Rangers who came out with all three points after a last minute goal from the impressive debutant Jukes.

Great graft yet again from the lads and some impressive performances throughout.

Crook Rangers 1-2 Darlington Harrogate Social

Football is back⚽️

Well after a turbulent pre season where the club was in two minds whether to continue as a club the lads have regrouped and decided to give it another season which is also the clubs 10th year anniversary.
Alot of regular lads have retired in the last couple years and after losing key players from last season we know it's going to be a difficult task at times but we are going to meet the challenge head on💪

This morning game was no different with the lads turning up with the bare 11 but what a brilliant shift from all 11 lads who really deserved something out of the game.
Even game throughout with both teams evenly matched in the first half Darlo took the lead with a great striker but Crook equalised with a great ball over the top from Dan Hawkins found Sancaster who finished well in off the post.

2nd half the lads really should of been infront with 2 guilt edge chances inside the opening 10 minutes. Again Crook had another great opportunity mid way through the half when the opposition keeper made a point blank save to deny us and then came the sucker punch when the opposition went up the other end and finished well.

Sour note as full back Andrew Kitching had to come off which we have now discovered is a broken foot😔. Long serving committe member Matthew Lauder had to dust the old boots off to make sure we finished the game with 11 but the lads just couldn't quite manage to get a equaliser but plenty of positives to take in what was a good game of competive football between two evenly matched sides.

We are on the look out for a few extra players anyone interested please get in touch. With pre season fast approaching we certainly need a few fresh players to combine with a good bunch of lads who have been together for a few years now. Crook Town Rangers 3-7 Evenwood Town.

Last game of the season see us end in defeat with another depleted squad and drawn out the hat with nothing to play for.

Goals- Toby, Sancaster and Snowdon.

The season hasn't been the best at all confirming our relegation to division 2. Anyone interested in signing on please dont hesitate to message.

Evenwood 4-4 Crook Town Rangers.

This morning we visited Evenwood which we knew it was going to be an tough game. First half Evenwood started brightly and opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes. Snowdon in net pulling a few good saves denying Evenwood a second. A long ball forward seen Ellison finish very well on the half volley. Not long after Evenwood made it 2-1 and thats how it was going into HT. Second half crook started much better than first half it was a cool finish from Lonstaff to make it 2-2. Evenwood with large part of the possession Crook caught them on the counter attack it was Ellison getting behind the defender only for their defender to bring him down Brownless stepped up to convert from the spot 3-3. Within a minute Evenwood take the lead with a great passage of play. With 10 minutes remaining Brownless won a free kick and calmly slots it in the bottom corner and 4-4 is how it finished.
A difficult few weeks for the lads but showed fight and spirit.

Darlington Rolling Mills 3-2 Crook Town Rangers.
This morning we faced Rolling Mills knowing it'll not be an easy game. Crook came out the blocks very quick Hawkins heading in from a corner. 10 minutes after good work from Brownless in the box and defender took him down and converted from the spot. Rolling Mills got to grips and scored 2 quick fire goals and thats how it stayed going into half time. Second half we looks fatigued and just didn't get going Rolling Mills created a few good chances with literally the last kick of the game they scored FT 3-2.

Crook Town Rangers 1-1 middleton Wanderers. (3-4 penalties) League cup.

Today we hosted middleton with us not having a game since the first week in December however we managed to get 12 lads there(very rusty). With very windy conditions terrible for both teams to play football in. First half crook started very brightly with us having 2/3 cleared off the line. Middleton took the lead with 20 minutes on the clock. 10 minutes later Brownless calmly covered from the spot. Second half we took control with long throws and corners been a real threat only thing missing was the final product fair play to middleton they defended very well till the final whistle and thats how it stayed going into penalties and unfortunately we fell short in the shootout.

Bishop Auckland Bay Horse 1-1 Crook Town Rangers.

Today we visited Bay Horse at King james school, usually a tight game between the two teams. First half Bay Horse started very bright creating a few chances. Crook finally got to grips with the game creating a few of their own but it was Bay Horse who broke the deadlock. 10 minutes before half time Crook equalised and that how it stayed till half time. Second half again Bay Horse started brightly creating good chances but Crook stood firm and defended well. Game was and to end with both teams both unfortunate not to get the decisive win but stayed 1-1 always a good tight game between us. All the best to Bay Horse for the rest of the season.

Seaham Island Social 5-1 Crook Town Rangers.

First round of the county cup and we travelled to Peterlee premier league side knowing it wasnt going to be an easy game. First 10 minutes each team had a couple decent chances but it was seaham who took the lead. Crook created a couple decent opportunities and finally made it 1-1 through Longstaff. With 5 minutes before half time Seaham made it 2-1 thats how it stayed. Second half within 30 seconds on the clock a mistake at the back and it was 3 and not long after then 4.Crook huffed and puffed but Seaham sealed the win scoring another to make it 5. It could probably have been more if it wasnt for snowdon. 5-1 is how it stayed and we exit the county cup.

Crook Town Rangers 3-3 staindrop.

This morning we hosted Staindrop with the away side coming away 4-0 2 weeks ago so knew it wasnt going to be an easy game. First half both teams created a few good chances but with 15 minutes in Crook made it 1-0 with a good finish by mcfadden. Not long after Brown made it 2-0 and thats how it stayed going into half time. Second half Staindrop started very brightly making it 1-1. A mix up in defence and they made it 2-2 shortly after. With 20 minutes remaining the ball fell nicely for Brown and from 25 yards and on the half volley straight into the top corner. 15 minutes remaining Staindrop made it 3-3. Staindrop piled on the pressure trying to get the winner but Crook defended well to see the game out.
