🖤💛🏆 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 🏆🖤💛

🖤💛 Well done to these boys who have been crowned Paul Pybus Scaffolding Spring Cup winners! 🏆⚽

Playing 7v7 football for the first time, the lads faced some teams a year older, some brand-new opponents, and others stepping up alongside us by playing a year up. Despite the challenges, the boys rose to every occasion. 💪👏

Going unbeaten throughout the league, they adapted brilliantly to the new 7v7 format and performed fantastically from start to finish. ⚽🔥

We couldn’t be prouder of the players, the parents, and the incredible commitment and support shown throughout. 🖤💛

We know next season will bring plenty of tough tests, but these boys will continue to battle hard, work together, and give everything for the team. 👊⚫🟡

⚫️⚪️ 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗦 ⚫️⚪️

What a weekend for the boys! 👏

The Magpies progressed through the group stages unbeaten, scoring an incredible 25 goals and conceding just 5 along the way 💥🛡️

That booked our place in the “Champions League” side of the draw where we faced Moston Tigers in the quarter-finals. After a tense 1-1 draw, the game went to penalties… and what a moment it was! 🙌

Charlie Dodds stepped up in style — saving a penalty before calmly converting his own to send the Magpies into the semi-finals! 🧤⚽

The semi-final saw us face Sundon Park, the same team who knocked us out last year. The boys found themselves 2-0 down early on, but the spirit, determination, and fight they showed was unbelievable as they battled their way back into the game 💪

Sundon Park eventually ran out 8-4 winners, but every single player gave absolutely everything and should be incredibly proud of themselves 👏

Could easily have been 3 wins, but some questionable refereeing decisions at times! 😅 Still, the lads finish Day 1 TOP OF THE GROUP! 🏆📈

The boys have shown an unbelievable attitude throughout some really tough tests today 💪👏 Battling hard for each other, working as a team, and playing some brilliant football along the way ⚽🔥

A proud moment for the coaches too, with other coaches coming over to praise the lads and ask about their journey and development 👏 The credit goes to every single player for their effort, attitude, and teamwork 🖤💛

We go again tomorrow for the remaining two group games and hopefully the knockout stages after that! 💥⚽

🇦🇷 Tommie “Aguero” Ebdon — sharp, clinical and exciting to watch, has footwork for days… a young Sergio Aguero in the making 👟⚽🔥

🛡️ Noah “Thiaw” Tomlinson — strong, powerful and physical in tackles - loves to concede a free kick, but capable of a shoulder drop that leaves players guessing 😮‍💨💪

🐐 Joey “Messi” Reid — effortless with his dribbling, more spins than the waltzer at the pleasure beach, Joey is a magical left-footed forward scoring the most obscene goals you’ll ever see 🚀⚽✨

🎩 Freddie “Busquests” Hodgson — calm and commanding defensively, but capable of a wonder goal after unbelievable footwork 👏🔥

Congratulations to all our players who represented Bishop Auckland St Mary’s for the final time today in Pro-motiv8 tournament in Washington! They won the cup this afternoon and we are extremely proud of you all!
