A huge thank you to Trophy Solutions Somerset for supplying the trophies for the West & Middle Chinnock Cricket Club end-of-season presentation.

Not only did they provide fantastic trophies, but they very kindly donated them to the club. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and support.

It might be the end of the season for our junior teams, but our ladies are still going strong throughout the summer! 🏏💚

We were absolutely over the moon to celebrate our first win against Long Sutton Cricket Club last night! 🎉

We've played against these wonderful ladies a few times now, and they are such a fantastic group. They bring so much experience and knowledge to the game, but more importantly, they've helped create some amazing friendships.

For us, that's what it's all about. Cricket is more than just the game – it's about bringing people together, having fun, and making memories. The smiles on our faces say it all. 😊

What a fantastic Presentation Evening last night – the perfect way to celebrate an incredible season! 🏏💙💛

It was wonderful to hear such lovely words shared about every single player. Even more than that, it reminded us what our club is all about – community, tradition, friendship and supporting one another. That's what village cricket is all about, and we're so proud to be part of it.

It's been an amazing season. Week after week we've stood on the boundary watching our young players grow in confidence, develop their skills and show some incredible talent. Every player should be proud of what they've achieved.

We still have a couple more games left for our U10s before we can officially welcome the summer break, so let's finish the season as strongly as we've started!

🎉 Our U12s have secured their first win of the season! 🎉

Every player played their part in a fantastic team performance. Tight fielding, accurate bowling, plenty of boundaries, and sensible running between the wickets all helped earn a well-deserved victory.

The improvement and teamwork on display were brilliant to see, and we couldn't be more proud of the whole squad. Keep up the great work, U12s! 🏏💙💛

Huge celebrations last night as our Under 10s were crowned league champions! 🏆🎉

We are incredibly proud of every single player who represented the team this season. Every child who played a match contributed to this amazing achievement with their hard work.

After a very hot training session, the celebrations continued with our annual club water fight! 💦 It was fantastic to see the whole club getting involved, with players, parents and coaches all joining in. It's one of our favourite traditions and a chance for everyone to let their hair down and have some well-earned fun together.

🏏 Cup Match – WMCCC U10s 🏏

Our U10s took on North Perrott on Sunday in their first Cup match, and what a game it was!

It was a very close contest from start to finish, but unfortunately we just came up short, losing by the narrowest of margins. Every single player gave it their all in the scorching heat and should be incredibly proud of their efforts.

At the halfway break, the players enjoyed some much-needed shade and some delicious strawberries before heading back out for the second innings. 🍓☀️

A huge congratulations to Joseph, who was deservedly named Player of the Match for his fantastic performance. 👏🏅

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone from our club and the local village who came along to support the team. Your encouragement made a real difference and was greatly appreciated by the players.

Our U14s enjoyed a fun match tonight with a mix of parents and our brilliant DofE volunteers.

It was a highlight of the season, giving our young players some valuable game time while letting a few of the dads dust off their cricket skills ahead of this weekend's friendly! 😄

🏏 Village Cricket is Back This Weekend! 🏏

Come along and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of local cricket as West Chinnock take on Chiselborough/Norton!

📍 West Chinnock Cricket Ground
🕐 1:00pm Sunday

Bring a chair, soak up the atmosphere, and cheer on the teams. There'll also be tea, coffee, cake and other refreshments available to purchase throughout the afternoon. ☕🍰

A little extra spice to the fixture... Chiselborough/Norton have won 2 of the last 3 meetings. Can West Chinnock even the score on home soil? 👀
