We've had some great bluebell walks over the past few weeks; this week's Thursday walk accompanied by a cuckoo. Photographs can never do justice to the sight and smell in real life, but are a lovely reminder.

It's such a lovely time of year for wild flowers. I found so many yesterday on my recce walk that I will break them down into colours!

What a super walk we had today up to the site of the Iron Age Hill Fort at Norton Camp. Spring was very much in evidence, the wind had dropped, and the sun was shining.

Here are some of my Wednesday fitness-plus walkers at Attingham Park NT enjoying the colour yellow from above and below.

The continuing wet weather has made sourcing sensible routes in the South of the County tricky of late. I have been doing my best to find interesting walks on some of the many quiet lanes of Shropshire recently. Last week's Thursday group loved our walk to the village of Woolstaston, starting from one of our familiar spots on the Long Mynd to the unfamiliar!

It's been a great year for snowdrops, both at Attingham Park NT, and in South Shropshire - sadly the weather hasn't been so obliging for photographing them. Here, however, are a selection of this years' from Attingham. It's not too late to join us to see them for yourselves - do join us over the next couple of weeks.
